Great book for people struggling with social anxiety
I love how the author explains that sometime we may avoid small talk because we have social anxiety. The author goes into an indepth review of what social anxiety is. The author also explains why we need human interaction and its purpose and what a true connection/intimacy looks like. Furthermore the author helps the reader to understand the power of channeling positivity, how to use storytelling to get a conversation moving, and how to interact effectively in groups. I would definitely recommend this book to people struggling with social anxiety.

A conversational book
This book reads like a conversation between friends. The author aims to help individuals overcome social anxieties and become more adept at conversation and other social situations, presumably from his personal experience, as no sources are cited in the book. This title would benefit from professional editing.

Looks to have been edited and cleaned up now
Some of the reviews have commented on the poor editing and proofreading if any in fact had been carried out in the past. These issues have been rectified now, I don't see many errors at all and I often notice them quite quickly. The book has a very friendly tone which is very disarming and that's a nice touch, for some people this subject can be very hard to manage and confront I'm sure. The 3 step process is also very novel and I think will make a big difference to those who implement it. For me I found the subject rather fascinating although I don't suffer in any social issues that I'm aware of it has made me more aware of others around me.

A Noble Spin
I can tell this author has passion for his writing. ‘The Art of Small Talk’ genuinely tries to get inside your head with a non-philosophical tone and speak to you like an old friend. It exudes power when the topics involve social anxieties and fears around human communication, but most importantly, how to overcome them.I couldn’t help but notice how many reviews said it was difficult to read and littered with errors. Surely, not perfection—but I don’t see the major problem. The message is clear and if you forgive the perfectionist approach and dig in to the root of the writing, I believe there’s value to be gained. This is by no means a perfect read, but it has heart…

Good tips for shy people
This is an excellent book with lovely examples of little tips on improving communication skills for reserved people. Highly recommend it for everyone who has a fear of public speaking and wants to start the small talks everywhere with everyone

Good content - tons of misspellings
Decent book and laid decently well. All the misspellings made it difficult to follow and read. I would encourage the author or an editor to go in and fix all the mistakes.
