Got these for my 7 year old daughter for summer reading between 1st and 2nd grade. She is a pretty good reader, and excited to start chapter books, but can get frustrated sometimes and just want me to read it. These books have just enough pictures to help her understand the story and stay interested, but still enough "chapter structure" to challenge her. More importantly - she loves the story and can't put them down! She can read one within a few hours throughout a day - I'll send her with one to summer camp, and she comes walking in the door with her nose buried in the book as she finishes the last few pages (yes, literally walking blindly into the house holding her book and won't get it down, haha).

This was a present for a friend’s child. The child loved the books and the Mom said that they truly enjoyed reading these books together!
