Q: I have one of the extra fine tip paint pens. How many times will this fill it up?

Here is some info on the markers, when refilling them they should never be refilled to the top (you'll notice the filled markers do not come this way). You need to leave plenty of empty space so that the paint can be shaken up and the pigments agitated). The Extra Fine marker should be filled with about 6-8ml at a time, so you can get about 3-4 refills with the 25ml refill or 22-30 refills with the 180ml refill bottle. The Fine size marker should be filled with about 12ml at a time, so you can get about 2 refills with the 25ml refill or about 15 refills with the 180ml refill bottle. The 15mm Broad (and 30mm or 50mm) should be filled with about 20ml at a time, so you can get 1 refill with the 25ml or 9 refills with the 180ml refill bottle.

Q: would buying 2-180mm bottles be a good idea or would any left over be difficult to preserve for unknown when, but future use?

The leftover ink in these dont go bad or anything you simply just screw the little top back on them and store them for later. One bottle refills four markers. So two bottles will fill 8 markers in total. In terms of left overs you will only have a few drops left over if that. Peace and Godbless

Montanta Acrylic Paint is amazing

So good. Get the markers however you can. I first tried them on a whim shopping at Michaels; unfortunately no longer sold in-store. This brand really does deserve more recognition. They are among my favorite: equally as good as Posca and Molotow. This was my first time buying a refill bottle and I am impressed. The process is simple leaving wondering why Posca doesn't take this aproach. The pens and nibs are durable, now refilling them with ink is cake and I feel great about it.
