Q: What is the actual height from ground to seat top? it says 18m-5y but it would be more helpful to just know the lowest seat height!\

I gave the Strider as a gift to my 3 year old grandchild. However, the bicycle comes with a brochure showing the seat height range is: 11 - 16 in. This is measured using the XL seat post. The handle bar height range is: 18 - 22 in.

Q: Is the Sport worth the $20 upgrade over the Classic version? Is this bike good for a child 36 inches tall?

The Sport version fits children 30" to 44" tall, all in one package. 18 months old to 5 years old.The Sport model includes the Extra Long Seatpost and Padded Saddle ($15 Value), plus has Easy-Adjust no tool adjustment of the handlebar and seat heights ($18 Value), AND a handlebar pad that just might save you hundreds of dollars in dental bills :)

Weigh only 6 lbs. Age group is from 18 months to 5 months. 2 ft height from ground to handle.

If you add the XL Seat Post and Saddle it will fit 36 months to 5 years old.The newest models are: 2015 STRIDER 12 CLASSIC, 2015 STRIDER 12 SPORT, 2015 STRIDER 12 PROThe 2013 model is the same specification as the 2015 SPORT model EXCEPT the 2013 model does NOT include the XL Seat post and Padded Seat.The 2015 Sport model includes the XL Seat post and Saddle, as does the 2015 Pro model.The Classic models do NOT include the XL Seat Post and Padded Saddle
