Mugs look great. Cant really argue with the price. That said, i saw a lot of reviews and responses about splitting and followed all the advicd provided by the manufacturer, but still 4 of my six mugs developed large splits within a few uses. The other 2 have small, subtle cracks. So, i can say with confidence that it isn't just how you wash them, or putting hot liquids inside (something we never did) that causes the splits, it is probably just an overall design flaw of having a metal liner inside a cheap wooden mug. Probably something can be done to improve this, but that would mean higher cost and craftsmanship. Overall they work, they look good, apart from the splits. Wish the handles were more comfortable, they are a bit rough, especially at the edges. Could be better, could be worse. Next time i will look for a higher quality option. You get what you pay for.

Good mug for a gift. Otherwise, the stain comes off when water hits it and might leave stain. The stain comes off when water hits it, and might actually get comsumed when you drink out of it, since a small section of wood stain is near the drinking rim! : /

I bought 12 of these for a bar setup I have in my house. I don't soak them in water, the directions warn against that. However, even hand washing them after use with water will cause the wood to split. Out of the 12, at least 3 are split where I drink from the mug. It's annoying and disappointing but I think I can fix it with some filler or resin.

I purchased six of these for groomsmen's gifts at my wedding. The finish is excellent, and the stainless steel insert means it will last through a ton of use. In addition, service was excellent. One of them had a small crack in the handle, and it was quickly replaced. I highly recommend this company and product.

Purchased what was supposed to be a 6 pack of 20fl oz mugs. Instead got 16fl oz mugs. No particular structural issues with the pair out of the 6 checked but mug was filled by 1 US pint (473ml) cup. Handles were slightly different, may not have received the correct item.
