Great gear oil. Impossible to find locally. Synthetic 75w90 is too thin at start-up. 75w110 is perfect.

Great stuff! Redline states that it would help reduce whine from worn differentials and it's done that exactly! A little pricey but my subaru only uses a quart anyways. Definitely worth it!

which means my transfer pump (purchased from Amazon) will not work on the tiny 1 quart bottle. I ended up buying 4 quarts and emptied an old Redline 1 gallon bottle and pouring the 4 quarts into the 1 gallon bottle so I could use the transfer pump. The place where I purchased a rebuilt differential recommended this lube. The initial fill took almost 2 quarts and the rebuilder recommends a drain and refill at 1200 miles so the extra 2 quarts will get used before too long. Redline products have an excellent reputation in auto enthusiast groups, you can't go wrong with their products. The 4 star is only because of the no gallon packaging option. Their motor oil does come in 1 gallon containers I don't see why they don't have that same option for their gear lube products.

first thing I noticed was how slippery it was compared to what was in the differential. It seems as though a couple more hp. is getting to the road but hard to tell with just the seat of the pants dyno. Gas mileage should improve if that is the case,only time will tell. Delivery was very good as usual.
