100% Recommend!
We have a 5-year-old son with mild Autism. He has trouble with fine motor skills, part of which is writing. He makes very faint marks on the paper with a pencil, so his occupational therapist uses a slant board with him when they are in session. She suggested we look for one that he could have at home and would last him a long time because he will need it to do homework.Well, I started looking for a slant board and either they were extremely expensive where we couldn't afford to make the purchase or they would be inexpensive but cheap-looking + had bad reviews. I didn't give up and finally landed with this product -- It's affordable, well-made, durable, and has made a significant difference in the way our son reads and writes. I cannot recommend this product enough! We're also thinking about purchasing a 2nd one next year for our little one (neurotypical) who will be attending Kindergarten next year and will also need one for school work.As a mom of a child with disabilities, I am grateful for products that are affordable and good quality. I definitely recommend this slant board to any parent who has concerns with their child's writing and/or simply want to help their children have a better way to do their homework. Anything that we can do for our kiddos well-being and education is worth doing. Thank you, Visual Edge! You knocked this one out of the park! :)EDIT 12/11/2019: Just wanted to come back here to let you all know that this product still works as described and we have had ZERO issues with it. We still 100% stand by it and recommend it!EDIT 1/20/2022: Here I come with another edit to let y'all know the Visual Edge Slant Board is STILL going strong. We continue to use it frequently & we remain fervent & loyal customers. We have recommended this to other moms & continue recommending it to you 100% to this day! 🤍

The slant board helps with their handwriting, reading, and typing!
My three kids use this daily!! My daughter’s favorite color is pink, my middle son is green, and younger son is blue. So these were perfect I could get each their favorite color board. My daughter and son have vision processing disorder and the vision therapist recommended these early in their therapy. They now use it for reading books, laptop and IPad use, and use the whiteboard on the slant board all the time to work out their math problems or take notes and we always have a whiteboard marker near by. They use the paper clips on tops and use the pencil ledge on the opposite side that they write. They bring them on road trips to draw, play with legos, or read! These are something I think they will use for a long time, and they always ask for them when they are not at their desk! Thank you!!

Expensive for what you get but good quality.
Both my sons are brilliant, dyslexic, and in vision therapy. One of the best purchases I've made for our homeschooling are these slant boards. The words stop "moving around" for them and they can concentrate better on their reading and workbook assignments with less vision fatigue. Highly recommended if your student fatigues of reading or looking at worksheets/paperwork.My criticisms are1. The detachable ledges for holding books on the surface...the velcro doesn't seem like it will last a really long time. I like that they are detachable only because I think they'd possibly break off or snap with regular use. The vision therapists, who recommended a slant board, have the same one in their office and have duct taped the ledges to theirs. I have a feeling that's where we are headed.2. The legs don't feel super sturdy. They are thin and we tend to move the slant board around the homeschool table a bit. We feel like we need to be really gentle with it, lifting it and setting to down rather than sliding it easily...especially at its $50 price tag.

Great for dysgraphia!
Love this for my dysgraphia daughter! It's nice quality, folds down for storage, and makes it much easier for her writing and learning a comfortable position to write. It's large enough for me to put her 8" tablet on one side and let her watch an educational video, while she writes on an 8x11 piece of dysgraphia paper on the other side. The top clips are nice for her dysgraphia workbooks, holding them open while she uses them. The board itself is a dry erase board, though we've not used it for that yet. She loved that she could also pick the color.

Must-have for every classroom's small group instruction area
This product is truly an ALL-IN-ONE product: It works as a slant board, a clipboard, a dry-erase surface, and a magnetic surface. My students LOVE using the slant boards to create (mix, fix) sight words using letter magnets. The kids enjoy having the ability to subsequently write the sight words that they create by writing the words on the SAME board instead of having to access another nearby white board surface. The built-in magnetized surface allows for magnetized dry-erase materials (pens, erasers) to be easily stored on the slant board as well, which is very convenient. The only "con" to this product is the price. It would have been wonderful if the price had been lower so I could have bought one for each of my students rather than simplying buying two for use in small instructional grouping.

Otherwise it's a pretty nice board
The board arrived damaged. The box has clearly been dropped before it was packed in the shipping box, since that box didn't have any damage. That was disappointing. Otherwise it's a pretty nice board. The white is already chipped at the edges exposing the silver of the magnet. Not sure if it's from being dropped out poorly made, since it's chipping in a different place than where it was dropped. The paper holder is a bit tough for little kids to lift.It does have pros though. The feet collapse for easier storage. The pencil holder does detached. It's held on by Velcro. There is also Velcro at the top back of the board so you can put it up there out of the way when working. The slant is working out great for my kid. It seems sturdy. Having the white board and magnet put is nice. You get a choice of colors.Conclusion. If you don't care about the white board, magnetic part, or collapsible feet, then spend less money on another board.
