NO fishy taste or aftertaste. I love it. It's the best brand I've ever bought and I've tried many. There's a very faint lemony taste to the capsules - very pleasant. I have fibromyalgia and this has definitely improved my pain. Fish oil is an anti-inflammatory and it helps my joints and aches from fibro, and from when I work out at the gym. I can definitely tell a difference when I'm taking it or not taking it. I keep a detailed food and supplement journal and this is a supplement I will use forever. Follow directions and take it with food. You don't need a meal, but on an empty stomach you may experience a little queasiness. With a glass of milk or piece of cheese and fruit, or a protein shake I'm fine.
