Are these boards finished with a clear coating so that the grain of the wood is not felt?

Hello - The boards are finished with a light varnish to keep the surface safe from external factors, however they can easily be painted or pressed with a decal. For best, long term, results we recommend giving the boards a light sand with fine sandpaper to access the natural wood grain of the boards as they are manufactured with a light varnish for protection. Next, tape off your desired design and use 2-3 coats of oil-based paint or use a glue to press on your decal as you would any other wood. We also recommend sealing the wood after putting on a decal. What are the exact dimensions h/w/d? i am ordering custom skins for the surface. they also need to know the location of the hole and it’s diameter.
