There are several nonfermentable sugars to choose from if you want to back-sweeten ciders or wine, but I think Xylitol is the best. Some report digestive issues with high levels of xylitol intake, so if you are making a VERY sweet cider or dessert wine, you might want to look at other options (maybe erythritol) -- but for semi-sweet or off-dry ciders, I feel like you can't beat Xylitol. Adds nice, solid sweetness that (of course) will not decrease due to fermentation over time. Remember: IT IS TOXIC TO DOGS! Keep it far from your furry friends!

Xylitol tastes like normal sugar and it is a great sugar substitute. I would melt it to make candy for my oral health. It doesn’t really matter to me that it is not birch xylitol because I do not notice a difference from it. This is more affordable so I will keep on purchasing it.

I was a little surprised to find that this was made from corn as opposed to birch. It was always my understanding that xylitol was birch sugar. This one is made from organic corn.. it taste just the same to me equal and quality and taste, and of course, as always an excellent alternative to sugar. Be mindful it can be deadly to dogs and the labeling that’s harmful to pets, not just dogs.

XYLITOL IS GREAT BECAUSE IT KILLS THE EXACT BACTERIA THAT CAUSES TOOTH CAVITIES! I HAVE EVEN READ IT CAN REBUILD ENAMEL. HOWEVER IT IS LESS SWEET THAN SUGAR EVEN THOUGH I READ IT IS EQUAL! I AM USING TOOTHPASTE WITH XYLITOL AND LOZENGERS FOR DRY MOUTH. I WISH MY DENTISTS HAD TOLD ME ABOUT IT LONG AGO. IMPORTANT!!! XYLITOL IS EXTREMELY TOXIC TO DOGS AND CAN KILL THEM. NO OTHER ANIMAL IS MENTIONED. IT CAUSES A HUGE DUMP OF INSULIN AND LOW BLOOD SUGAR!

To me it tastes just like sugar with no aftertaste like all of the imitation sugars on the market, and is much better for your metabolism than table sugar. I bought it mostly for the dental benefits and will dissolve a tsp of it in my mouth and swish it around for a few minutes in the morning and evening. If you don't know about the dental benefits, I would encourage you to research it. I also put a tsp in my green tea each day and it tastes great!

Easy to use and reseal and good value for your money. Tastes just like sugar. It even makes your counter sticky if not wiped clean after some dribble. I use it in my espresso coffee and in my matcha tea. Sometimes I add it in a spicy blend.

Arrived with no issues. Opened it up immediately and used it to make a kid friendly strawberry toothpaste. It's toddler and parent approved! I've used it as a sugar replacement in baked goods, jellies, and hot drinks also. 👍
