Got this specifically for my YouTube channel and it's awesome!!!
This has made a world of difference in my video and audio quality. I am convinced this is the camera/mic setup that will take my channel to the next level. If you are a content creator looking for an affordable yet EPIC camera setup, this is the one! I researched all my options and selected this for several reasons:1. The flip around LCD screen allows me to setup my shots and make sure I keep the right angle and content framed in the screen.2. The mic setup is even better than the reviews said it would be! It's a directional mic that does an amazing job of filtering out the background sound (dog barking, cars driving past, etc.). I couldn't be happier with that feature!3. The upgrade capability of the swappable lenses. The lense that comes with this camera package allows for the depth of field shots I wanted to play around with on my channel (object in focus and background slightly blurred). I'm still trying to master this but it's fun to learn.4. The complex settings available as I learn more about photography will allow me to explore my creative side. Not sure how far I will take this part, but at least this camera gives me the option and takes away that excuse. :)5. The tripod included is also very versatile. Can be used as a "selfie stick" for vlogging style recording or as a short tripod for set shots. It's flexible legs can also be wrapped around objects for even more creative camera angles. The only thing I could find to "complain" about was battery life. But the type of recording I do can be hours long. I knew this going in so I ordered an extra battery and always keep one on the charger at all times. That's how I worked around this known issue. If you are in the market for a solid camera with lots of features at an affordable price, this is the setup for you! I give it two thumbs up - very highly recommended!

Best camera bundle for actors!
I was looking for a decent camera bundle for my self tape auditions. I did a ton of research and found this was the best quality with an affordable price tag. I found it fairly easy to use and I'm not very well versed in camera use other than point and click. The directions seem pretty straight forward. The picture quality is better than my expensive smartphone. And the shotgun mic is works great for what I need. I recommend for actors!

Great Value
Love this camera. I’ve been doing photography and video work for a few years and this camera is a great bang for the buck. Vast improvement on video quality and with a Rode microphone the sound is better and easier to manage than before.UPDATE: As i’ve started editing video shot with this camera and have to say I LOVE this camera even more. I’m not professional by any means but have made videos for a few years now and always struggled with it looking and sounding good. The more I learn the better it gets but this camera is a giant leap forward for me. The video looks fantastic. I need to dust off the manual and learn more about the auto focus settings but that operator error I’m sure of it.This is a great deal for a quality camera for those hobbyists who want to move beyond using a cell phone or an inexpensive point and shoot camer.

The best camera for the price!?!
I bought this for videography, but this is a great all around camera, colors come out really nice to my surprise and the dynamic range is better than I expected. I'm still finding new things with it and I've had it a few months now.If I had any complaints they'd be the following: the kit lense is very sharp, but the depth of field is lacking. Not the greatest in lowlight and in my opinion not great about 16000iso and 3200+ is almost unusable for me.The focus is slow, but not aweful, just not very good for video. Stick to manual for video, for pictures though the auto focus works great! This kit came with the Rhode mic go and it is not the greatest, but considerable better audio than what is built in. Though I believe the mic go is not stereo, and the camera is.Now I'm leaving this at 5 stars despite the list above because this is so good for the price. It is worth it if you are getting into video and leaves room to grow!

Sweet!
I LOVE this camera! I bought it for video (dreams of indy filmmaking) and I find myself using it more for stills. I'm very happy with the quality of the shots. The kit zoom is fine, but I have mostly stuck with a 50mm 1.4 Nikon lens (with adapter to 4/3 mount) and even though the lens is manual focus, the G7 peaking function shows me exactly when I've focused correctly. That 50mm looks more like a 100mm on the G7, which is working nicely for portraits. While I have yet to make any indy films, I've taken many videos and the results are astounding, in low light and in sun. Video is the real reason most people get this camera. I do wish you could hook up a monitor, but with WIFI you can control the camera and see what you're filming to a degree. (Best WIFI app I've found so far is Field Monitor.) The software that came with the camera seems worthless; you don't need it for transferring images - I just put the SD card in my computer and transfer directly. And I'd recommend Lightroom for any real editing.I have Panasonic's GH1 also, and love that, too. But the G7 is lighter and smaller, and therefore easier to cart around. It's my new favorite.Oh, I did change one thing on the very first day. The little metal triangles provided for the strap hook-ups rattle around making an annoying noise that gets picked up on video. I cut them off with a pair of wire snips. Problem solved. Later, I decided I did want a strap, so I added 2 little rings (like typical key rings, though only 1/2" diam) and they work fine without causing any jingling noise.Cheers!
