This "aircast" is fabulous!
I ordered this Aircast for a possible broken ankle/ foot. Turns out it was a bad sprain 3 1/2 weeks later I still have a lot of bruising. Got the Aircast the next day. It took two weeks to get into the doctor for x-rays. He put me in a humongous boot to help with my mobility. I couldn't walk in the darn thing. Caught myself falling three times. Wore it one day. That was it. Back to the Aircast! It's been a real blessing. It affords my foot and ankle ample protection and very good support. I can wear it all day comfortably over a sock. I've been wearing it almost 4 weeks now and it looks as good as the day I received it. I would buy it again should the other ankle, or foot have a problem. It's allowed me to stay mobile.

Best support with being a nuisance.
I have terrible ankles, they fold at a moment's notice. I had the right foot brace but the other morning taking my pups out my left ankle folded stepping off my deck, like a cheap suit. These are the best ankle supports/braces I have found. They're extremely durable and withstand a ton of wear, but comfortable enough to sleep in, if you're like me and your doggos get you out of bed super early for potty trips.

Helped me get off the couch
It’s not the most comfortable, but it is incredibly stable. I was on my feet and feeling very safe only three days after a painful ankle sprain. It doesn’t fit in most shoes, and it made my feet ache after hours of wear, but it gave me back my mobility. It’s easy to put on, too. Tip: jam your foot as far forward as you can, then apply the back strap. Then yank the brace as far upward as you can before you apply the front strap. This helps with the aches it can cause after hours of wear.

Great support
My daughter had one of these that was supplied by her physical therapist when she badly sprained her ankle. Dur to torn ligaments, she wears this on a regular basis so the last one started to shred at the heel and we needed to replace it. This one was exactly like her last one and works as well as that one did. It is a little stiff at first but after a few uses, it "softened" up and is easier to get on now like her last one. It gives her great support and keeps her ankle from "giving out". I have tried others but they just did not fit right and did not give the support this one does. Highly recommend this.

Who are these people who gave 5 star reviews?
Their expectations of ankle stabilization must be very different from mine. This thing is so poorly designed it’s laughable. Zero support, ill fitting and utterly useless. Don’t waste your time or money. It does absolutely nothing to stabilize the ankle either in or out of a shoe. The strap that comes across diagonally is awkward and doesn’t align with the Velcro, it adds nothing in terms of stability.

Would have hated to have missed this! It’s a winner!
So after I rolled my ankle and fractured my ankle in 3 places and my fibula … I was given a boot from the emergency room to wear but it wasn’t comfortable at all and when I was able to do a little bit more I had a little softer one than this one to help with pain relief at the ankle while healing but this is the go to one for me now and I really don’t know what I would’ve done without this. It’s wonderful and I ordered it a size up from the normal size I wear in case of the swelling to allow for room and compression is also on the heel and ankle (slightly) but this is by far the best option for me as being uncomfortable with a broken bone in the first place and first time:( but I would definitely recommend this one to help with pain, recovery, and not to lose ROM. Great for running in etc if you’re prone to injury or ankles rolling.

OK & Size Info
I badly sprained my ankle and needed a good support system for recovery. My shoe size is 8.5 to 9 and I have skinny weak ankles--but it was hugely swollen. So I was on the fence between a small or medium. I ended up ordering the small and due to the swelling it was too tight & very uncomfortable. I then ordered the medium & it is so much more comfortable (but of course you can't return this) I think when the swelling goes down the small will be good for everyday wear. It also depends on what socks you might wear--a thicker sock would never have fit in the small. It seems like a well made & supportive device. Odd strap set up though. The long main support strap wraps around--kind of figure 8 style. The fabric cover to keep the velcro from sticking to things is kind of weird but works OK. I'm still not getting around too much but think this will work well when I start getting back to normal activities.

Excelente tobillera

Gliela avevano consigliata. Lui ha riferito comoda e leggera. Perfetta

Defective item
Aircast means air pressure can be developed inside the cast to ensure comfort, firm grip and support, in this case there is nothing to develop and release air pressure
