These are listed as "vintage", but what they really mean is "vintage-type", newly produced; they are not reused, older buttons, from an earlier time. There are three sizes of round, which you can see in the picture: I did not count, but it seems there are more of the middle size than the small or large. Also included are around 40+ butterfly-shaped ones, which are also shown in the picture, pinned to a pincushion. In each button pictured here, there is a round 'dot' visible where the pin goes through one of the sewing holes. These are not part of the painted designs, which look like "mandala" patterns. There do seem to be at least two of each design included, and possibly 4-5 of the same patterns in some sizes. The colors will not match exactly what is shown in the picture. For comparison, the pincushion shown is not denim blue, but actually a medium purple/violet.They appear to be made of wood, although they are also coated with some kind of resin to protect the printed design, and which makes some of the buttons appear more glossy than others. I used two right away, and sewed them to my sister's hat that she wears for work as a cook, so that she can attach her mask she must wear every day for 8+ hours around the buttons on her hat, instead of putting the elastic around her ears. It is MUCH more comfortable wearing a mask for 6-8 hours straight this way, than it is having to have the elastic pulling on your ears. I was tempted to use the butterfly ones for this task, but decided against it. They appear to be fairly sturdy, but with just an elastic around them, and pulling all day every day, it seemed like the skinny part of the button - where the butterfly's body would be - could snap the button in half, since that is also where the holes for sewing the button on are located.They are beautiful, they arrived quickly, and I was very glad to find out that multiples are included of most of the designs, as far as I can tell: that was not obvious from the description. But they are perhaps not quite as sturdy as I expected, especially the small ones or the butterfly shaped ones. The colors are also a little more muted than I anticipated, although that is hard to tell from the photo I include here, since it uses flash.

I bought these buttons to use as closures on fairy purses I made. They were perfect. The variety of patterns and colors were beautiful.

Ordered the combo butterfly/button pack. The order arrived quickly and was pre-sorted. The colors are beautiful! So vibrant! There appear to be matching sets of most buttons. The backs are not painted but show the natural wood grain. Love the colors and quality.

These are all gorgeous! So many different colors and styles. They add such a nice touch to many projects. This might be one of my fav Amazon supply purchases.

I really like that the different sizes come packaged separately. The colors and designs are beautiful and so far not fading or rubbing off.
