A good Multimeter
Good accuracy, high resolution, 40,000 counts It replaces a 50,000 count meter that went bad. It has many improvements over the previous meter. It has an auto backlight that WORKS, if you go into a darker area, it automatically comes on, making it easy to read. It has all the bells and whistles that are needed. Auto shutoff to keep from draining the battery unnecessarily. The backlight also turns on a light on the pointer, so you can see what you have it set at in the dark. The shutter system prevents putting the leads into the wrong holes, and prevents you from changing to a function that is not safe. My old meter is still available at three times the price. I can recommend it if you need the extra accuracy compared to the cheaper models.

Smart meter
Dang thing is too smart for me, instructions are really small, seems to be a good device having a really put it through all the good uses yet, keep wondering if Amazon will give me a discount for every time I tell him they have a good product or a bad product.

Very happy with the support.
Original unit was not working properly, the seller replaced the faulty unit within 48 hrs, very responsive support.

Cheaply made, poor customer support
Poor customer service.. Meter had nonfunctioning items, and they told me to take it apart, which I did, and parts that were not functioning, they told me to take out or get unstuck.. I was unable to do this, as loose parts fell out and I was unable to put it all back together again. I let them know, that I wanted to exchange this for a working unit.. I did not here back from them in over 2 days and told them I needed a meter in a timely fashion. I finally went thru Amazon to return this, no exchange since they never got back to me. This meter worked, but was of poor quality, and malfunctioned within 1 day of trying to use it

Please buy this!
This thing is amazing, buy it, that's it. I felt like I was stealing the device. Has so many features, just name it. NVC, Hz, Capacitance (precision, real precision), diode, transistor, temperature, protection that helps choosing the right connection, its fused, just beautiful. I would like to buy a second one, just in case.Real deal.

Good value, too slow, "sliding ports" issue. Not recommended
I am amending my review changing the rating to unacceptable. Yes, it has a lot of features and accuracy for the money, but it takes the thing two or seconds to come up a reading! I have a good number of meters and have used meters for over fifty years, analog and digital, and this is the slowest meter I have ever seen. If you have a number of voltage or resistance points to check, this thing is completely useless. They must have used the cheapest A to D they could find that would yield 40,000. Unless you need this accuracy, don't buy this meter!---------------------------------------------------------This might be the least expensive meter with 40000 counts and all the other features. It's also nicely large, has a bumper around the edges, etc. It's also easy to take apart (why? read below). First, the accuracy comes against a voltage standard is not quite as good as the other 40000 count meters that I have (which cost more). That aside there are two negatives: One is that the continuity test with the buzzer is way too slow. Can take a second so I don't really use it for that purpose. The second issue is the with the seemingly clever sliding openings over the probe banana plug ins. When you turn the dial to the left or right side, there is this yellow plastic that covers up the probe ports that you are not supposed to use. Clearly, this feature is to help the stupid Americans who will try and plug the probes into the wrong ports if they weren't covered. While extremely annoying, it would maybe be OK except the sliding plastic which is controlled by the knob, can get jammed and not move! Luckily, because the meter is easy to take apart, you are able to disassembled it to get at the yellow plastic thing on the back on the knob and free it up. I would note that the knob comes off with the cover, don't try to pull it off. The other annoying thing is that, unlike other similar knob type meters, the knob does not rotate 360 degrees. To get from one side to the other, you have to first go through the 12 oclock position so that the plastic cover thing can work to "protect you". If the port cover is tight when you get it, you can loosen it up by taking it apart. Likewise if the stand on the back is too tight or two loose, you can adjust this via the two screws holding it down. Overall, now that I have the port cover working easily, I would say that main weakness is the slowness to resolve a reading, especially continuity. However, likely the slowness is a tradeoff of lower cost A/ds versus the abundance of features and the attractive price. There is no perfect meter (which is why I have many including analog ones which are best for some uses still). For reference on my review, I am a graduate electrical engineer and have been using all types of meters for maybe sixty years. (it's nice to actually be qualified to review a product).

Very nice meter with a few smallish issues
I've only had this briefly but it works well. I like the reading resolution (40000 counts) but have not tested accuracy. There are two features I don't love. One is for diodes/resistance, where there are 3 different tests. The one I use most, continuity, is the 3rd option on that setting. Picky perhaps, but since I use it so often, it's annoying. Second is the "protective function for the jacks. Different dial settings (voltage vs current, for example) require use of different jacks for the probes (as is typical), but this meter places a yellow plastic barrier over the jacks that should not be used. Seems like a good thing, and it is, but it is another annoyance because you have to remove the probes, adjust the dial, then re-insert the probes. Again, it's not a huge problem, but it's there. In general though I'm happy with this for most of my electronics work.

Ok, but has its drawbacks including support.
The meter has plenty of features, but on mine the Hz Frequency Counter part doesn't work at all. I posted a question about it to the manufacturer the day I got it, but over a month has passed an no reply at all from their support team. The thing is really SLOOOOOOW too. You put the probes on something to measure and you don't see any reading for 2 or 3 seconds. Should have paid the extra cash and bought a Fluke instead. Oh well. Live and learn.

Excellent value
At first, I really enjoyed this multimeter, I thought it great value for money. The display is big, clear and easy to read. The unit is quick to take a reading, seems accurate (I don't have a calibrated unit to test it against though.) and is well enough made for what it is.The cons. The backlight isn't really much help as it only activates when it's quite dark. No big deal though, I suppose, I just cover the backlight sensor and the backlight comes on.I am not sure that I like the switched in flags that stop me putting the test leads into the wrong sockets. I tend to leave my test leads plugged in all of the time and I may damage the unit if I forget and rotate the selector switch with my test leads still plugged in. Like most things, I'll probably get used to the latter feature, though. The magnet on the back of the unit picks a lot of "crap" from my test bench; if I wasn't so lazy, I may see if I can remove it.The pins on the Hfe socket are mislabeled, a PITA, but, fortunately, I have other meters that have this function covered. Still, if Hfe test functionality is important to you, check your unit when you receive it.The temperature measurement facility is stuck on one temperature, this sucksConsidering the cons for my unit, iI would pass on this one. Perhaps the vendor will replace my defective unit?As I have found so much wrong with this unit, I no longer recommend it.

Do not purchase this item
It's a shame because I really liked this multi. Works great for a while, but after a couple of months, it's no longer useable. I was willing to accept that I may have received a dud so I purchased a second one. Now that the same thing has happened to the second one (on a different digit), I believe this is a component design flaw. Do not purchase this item.

Poor quality plastic, Poor LCD display
It had very cheap quality LCD. The quality of the plastic was also very poor. No comments on performance. It does the job the way it supposed to. Ended up returning it just because of the quality of the material.
