We recommend applying the Serum to a damp scalp after showering for an added boost of the active ingredient, and then throughout the day on a dry scalp as needed. Q: How noticeable is the lavender part of the aroma? I'm hoping not very . . .

The fragrance of this product is wonderful and very light! The scent is light to begin with, then fades. The most noticeable note is a mint, blended gently with vanilla & lavender. The lavender is more a sweet lavender and I wouldnt say it's strong, harsh, or a main note. Back notes of herbals and tangerine are very light as well. I notice the lavender more when I smell it from the tube; once applied it's like a light sweet mint with vanilla scent. I honestly love the fragrance so much that I'd wear it AS a fragrance if they made one! The mint/ menthol gives a nice cooling sensation on the scalp and the serum provides instant relief! It definitely helped my scalp from a seborrheic dermatitis flare up, including healing scabs/sores, loosening scaling/ flakes, moisturizing & soothing for instant relief. Now I have barely any flakes, and I've only used it a few times! I compared a lot of similar products and went with this one because of all the beneficial natural ingredients, including ones clinically used like Zinc & Niacinamide.
