Bought for reinstalling the metal ring on a Bosch washing machine. It's incredibly frustrating to do without this tool, unless you make one from stuff you have at home. I was swearing for 1/2 hour and then bought these pliers. It took 30 seconds to install the ring perfectly. Perfect of you want to remove the mouldy gasket to clean it.

Save your sanity (and your fingers) and buy one of these, especially for reattaching the door boot with a spring. Since I removed it easily enough without a tool, I figured I could easily stretch it by hand to reattach (and saw repairs video doing it by hand). Well, I came close several times but eventually gave up after many, many failed efforts and my first blood blister from grabbing wire. This handy spring expansion tool allowed me to do it in less than 5 minutes. I did buy the upgraded model (black and yellow), which has a wider opening and seemed to fit the hooks fine, based on previous reviewes. It worked great. Highly recommend--happy I have it now too in case I have to replace the drain pump or anything else again!

Buy this if you are replacing the door seal on your front load washer. It pays for itself in one use for sure.
