Great toddler clock
It's cute and seems to work well. The battery mode doesn't last long if you want it as a nightlight too (under 7 hours they say), so you generally leave it on the charger stand it comes with, but that's still better than a fully/always plugged in clock. The only major critique is that the button controls (and instruction manual) are not clear. I had to check the amazon comments to see how to "silence" the alarm mode (we wanted just the light for sleep-training the toddler). The instruction manual mentions pushing the side ringer button to change volume low/medium/high, but it was comments here that said to push both sides at the same time. That wasn't in the manual. With the comments here, it's a pretty solid clock with a nice sleep/wake cycle. The light differential is pretty nice. Note: using the "alarm" button (called wake mode) means that the light goes green at the time you set it. But it actually goes YELLOW 30 minutes before! In the dark, they're both a little bright and can be confusing if your little one is really little. It might help to just adjust the time you set it if you have a sensitive sleeper or early riser.

Not the best, have decided to return
Update: after using this for 3 nights I've decided it will not work for us. I tried changing the night light color; doing this apparently turns off the wake up light. Last night I tried having it set with no bedtime light; this too apparently turns off the wake up light! The red bedtime light seems very harsh to me. And since there seems to be no way to either change it or dim it, I'm going to get a clock that has those options.Original review:This clock will work fine for what I need it for, which is why I will keep it and not look for a better model. It also is cheaper than most clocks with the same functions, which is a bonus! I was just needing a clock with the different lighting settings to teach my children to stay in their room a little longer in the mornings. The reasons I only give 3 stars are these -1. Instructions are kind of complicated and I feel the clock could be made easier to use.2. It took me awhile to figure out how to use the nap setting, as the instructions for setting up the timer are in a different place than the instructions for how to actually turn it on for a nap.3. The light bulb button on the side of my own personal clock has to be smacked very hard to work.4. I really wish I could turn off the yellow "almost time to get up" light. That is just confusing for small children.5. Probably the worst thing about it, in my opinion, is that if you turn the clock to "off" it erases everything you've set up, even the actual time (so you start over at midnight when you turn it back on). This is going to be annoying if I take the clock with me on a trip.As I said, this will work for what I need. If you don't need a sound machine and just want to teach your children when to wake up, this clock should work for you as well as the more expensive ones. As long as you're OK with convoluted instructions.

Cool, but WAY WAY too bright
My son loves this clock. If it's not red and he's tired, he changes it to red "so I can go to bed". The flip side is, the nap setting... it doesn't have a length option, and I've not been able to figure out how long it lasts on red, so I always have to manually set it to red (I set it a little earlier than I actually expect him to take a nap, so it's never red when I want it to be).But holy crap, it is WAY TOO BRIGHT! I have it turned down as low as it can go, and the red is still brighter than the two other nightlights in his room combined. I have pictures of three other nightlights in a dark room with it. Pictures were taken in the morning in a bathroom with no window and the door shut, and all pictures of the clock use the dimmest red (dimmest overall) setting. (1) A nightlight I use to make sure I don’t step on a cat in the middle of the night = extra dim, (2) his "dim" nightlight at the foot of the bed, (3) his "bright" nightlight at the head of his bed, and (4) both of his nightlights. As you can see, the clock is so much brighter it almost seems like it's got an aura in the photo. It's so bright we have to cover it with several layers of flannel sheet at night or he comes into my bed, completely defeating the purpose of this clock. So, I'm not sure whether I like the clock (use, screen, features, kiddo likes it) or hate it (cover or he won't stay in bed).

For the price, it is worth it
I purchased this clock on flash sale so I felt like it was a good deal. Setting it up was not easy. The instructions are not intuitive. There are certain functions, like the locking function, that aren't even contained in the instructions. I had to read questions on the amazon page to figure out how to lock it so my daughter didn't change all the settings after I had FINALLY figured out how to use this thing. Now that I know how to use it I am happy with it. My 3 1/2 year old understands that she is to stay in bed/quiet until the light turns green. She actually gets up during the "warning" light, about a half hour before the green light turns on. That is because the warning yellow light looks very green! It is no matter though, I just set the clock for a half hour later and it works.

I GET TO SLEEP AGAIN!
My kids were getting up around 4am for two weeks when I ordered this. Since then, they've gotten up early maybe twice? It works WONDERFULLY! They stay in bed till it turns every morning!Only critique is the yellow warning light that comes on a half hour before it's time to get up does look a touch green. But I just changed the time by a half hour. They don't need warned 😂

Lots of options!
If you're looking for a clock with lots of options for your child(ren), this is it! Color, facial expression, loudness, brightness ... on and on. My favorite is the "lock" function which prohibits most if not all toddlers from changing the settings (a real problem with my granddaughter and the previous clock). Why the four stars, and not five? Because of all those options! They make setting the clock long and tedious for someone like me who is "assembly-challenged", i.e. never gets it right the first time.Otherwise, great.
