High noise floor
Increases weak signals but also increases noise to a level that drowns out the signals I wanted to listen to.

Excellent product
Best VEGA that I have found. it increases the gain while limiting the background noise.

Signal tested this unit. For those who want some specs
Overall its not too bad of an amplifier for the price. It works best if you have a down converter for higher frequency signals. If you don't have a good directional antenna you will pick up noise and amplify it as well so this is best to use with a dish or yagi. Vertical or di-pole antennas, you will pick up any nearby noise from your neighbors. From 28MHz to about 1.3GHz is roughly 30db amplification but higher than that it drops off. You can see in my frequency sweep from 0Hz to 3.2GHzAround 3.2GHz it's about 7db of gain. I could hook this up to measure out to 4.4Ghz but in sure it drops off to about 3db of gain at that frequency. That's what I measured on my siglent with an HP 8496B 110db attenuation that has a range to DC-16Ghz
