I did not use it on a model but I used it on plastic fairings for my motorcycle worked amazing

How would this paint hold up on automotive wheels?

Thank you for your email, we have many customers who use our candies for wheels and have had no issues we know of.

Is there a specific primer that need's to be used?

I didn't use any, I did however use silver paint under it to make it shiny.
