These things are very sturdy. I used them in concrete and sheetrock.

Love the look of these. My only negative comment is that the cover over the screws is loose and doesn't stay put, so I am constantly pushing it on. may have to add a drop of super glue or something to make it stay

These hand rail brackets are unsafe. The brackets are spot welded and will fail as soon as they are used for their intended purpose. On top of the brackets being weak every one of the 40 brackets are bent which makes them impossible to install properly. The paint quality also leaves much to desire.as a contractor I absolutely advise to stay away from this product
