This laser measure is a fantastic tool! It's incredibly accurate and boasts a wide range of useful features beyond simple distance measurement. I've been looking for a laser measuring device for some time. I looked at reviews, checked out YouTube for anything I found "interesting" and eventually took a "gamble" on this one. Bosche seems to be the "standard" but out of my budget. I expected it to be a bit hit and miss but no! I measured a couple of dimensions with a steel tape measure (around 2m and 6m) and then compared the readings from this with those manual measurements. This unit gave a reading within 1mm of the dimension measured with the steel tape. It also gave consistent readings each time I pressed the read button, never varying by more than 1mm. The display is clear and easy to read, the controls are pretty self explanatory and the instructions are reasonable for such a low cost unit. Another nice touch is the ability to calibrate the unit, using the front panel buttons, just in case it drifts with age. I haven't used some of the more "advanced" features (volume, area, pythagoras etc) but see no reason why they should not work pefectly. The features are well above average at this price point. I can't say how reliable the unit is as I've only had it for a few days, but it does seem sturdy with positive action buttons and comes with a nice cloth carry case and lanyard. Very pleased with my purchase so far.

I bought this for a garage organization project to ensure I bought as much pallet racking as I could fit, but no more. It's a struggle to singlehandedly measure garage widths and depths across shelves, bins, etc. Yes, I could have emptied the garage... after a couple hours of effort... but then I'd just measure the dimensions and then have to spend a couple more hours putting everything back before ordering the needed racks. So, I found this laser measurement tool (LMT) on Amazon and selected it over others after comparing prices and features. Most of these LMTs have similar functionality, with the differences being additional complex area and volume functions or distance capabilities. Most residential home users will never have a need to measure 50 meters or more. This specific LMT combined the best specs with the best feature set at one of the lowest prices... and it had good reviews. I used mine to measure the specific dimensions of my 3-car garage, with a short third stall that has a 4' deep alcove near the door. I found a tape measure was better for measuring the dimensions of things, like my generator, my rolling tool chest, my ATVs and motorcycles, but the LMT made measuring the complete garage dimensions super fast and easy. I used the information to build a layout of the garage, and of each major thing I need to store (cars, ATVs, motorcycles, etc.) so I could experiment with how I would position shelves and things to get it all to fit, and to ensure enough room for a 4-post parking lift. This thing is a steal for under $20. If you need to measure distances under 50 meters quickly, without requiring a helper, don't even think, just click on the buy it now button. You won't be sorry.
