Attractive, sturdy, good value
This bed is well made. It is more than I expected for the price. It's very attractive as well. I generally am the person in my friend group that people ask to assemble furniture, lol. I'm very visual and mechanical. This bed was technically very easy to assemble, but there were a couple of errors in the directions. Bolts S connected headboard to frame, not foot corners( too long, use the shorter bolts in package) . Also, when assembling the foot corners, unscrew the pivoting bolts slightly for them to seat and then tighten. If those small things have been corrected or added to the directions it would have been a breeze. As it was it took me a few minutes to figure out what was going on but after that the bed assembled quickly. Once it was assembled I was impressed with how well designed and sturdy it was, and appreciate the way that the slats velcro into place quickly and won't slide around they do on other beds I've owned. The bed does have substantial room underneath for storage, if you like to keep clothes or shoes in those rollaway storage bins under the bed. I have a fairly thick mattress with a mattress topper and when that was added it does make the top of the bed seemed quite tall. It's something to consider if you want a lower profile bed. I'm going to have to buy a different nightstands because currently the one I have is much too low for the height of the bed +thicker mattress. I think if you had a futon type mattress it would be a more average height.

Basic up front review
I got the Queen size bed. The bed is for my teenage son. We put it together very easy, maybe 30 mins. Instructions are easy to follow. Truly simple assembly. Of course always easier with two people. No screws, just bolts, and they are hex key assembled, so no screwdrivers needed, just the basic hex key tool, and the bed comes with one plus another one in a neat wrench-like from. Very cool to keep afterwards. Nice ground clearance, if you like a bed up on legs for the look, and/or also for storage, then this is for you. headboard material is grey color, looks nice, plush foam inside, it just looks nice and good quality. Headboard is not tall, I think maybe like 3 feet, but it is great (for us) because my son did not want some huge tall headboard taking up wall space. the slats fit on there perfectly... they were spaced out with a strap going down both sides, which is very helpful, and there is velcro on the inside of the side rails, so when you set the slats down they velcro to the strip on the side rails, which is just cool and a good measure to help keep them in place. And then two sticky strips on top are supposed to help keep your mattress from sliding off. They were def strong sticky strips. We put the mattress (no boxspring needed) on the bed, stepped back, took a look, it looked clean and simple... done! He laid on it, then so I did I, we moved around, trying to hear squeaks, creaks, stuff I figured we would hear from a $150 metal bed, but nothing... no sound. Maybe in time it will happen, but its a $150 metal bed frame... Anyway, very pleased, it is lightweight, strong, no noises yet, and really does have a nice look to it. Plus again, the height of it is great because you have great clearance, easy to vacuum under (yay!), and no boxspring needed, so it is a high bed, in a sense, with just a mattress, but not actually high, for my teenage son it was like the perfect height to roll over an slip right off the bed to get up. He hasn't even slept in it yet, so we will see how or if my thoughts change... but initial review is very very good. I'm just a regular guy who wanted a queen frame bed for my kid, solid and with a headboard but simple and clean looking, and with good ground clearance, and not expensive... and I never thought I'd order it online.. but I did, and I'm very happy, and this seems to be a great bed!

Nice simple budget frame, easy to assemble, feels sturdy.
Bought this Queen frame for guest bedroom. Package arrived quickly, while the box was a bit beat up, everything was securely packed and all the pieces inside were securely wrapped. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, all the pieces are numbered so assembly is pretty simple if you read the directions. The frame comes with a small ratchet tool to make it easy to secure and tighten all of the bolts. All the holes lined up correctly, all the correct pieces and hardware arrived and the pieces all fit together securely. Took me about an hour to assemble by myself, taking the time to lay out the pieces, read the instructions in advance and taking my time. The metal bed rails feel strong and secure. They have a nice metal finish with no imperfections. The bed slats that support the mattress come connected by a piece of cloth and you roll the whole thing out on the frame and secure with velcro. Would have preferred that the slats be a bit heftier and attach more securely than with velcro but you get what you pay for. The frame looks nice, the quality and finish of the materials is good, no complaints there. The frame feels secure and stable. The mattress fits perfectly. As it is for a guest room, we have not used the bed yet so cannot comment on noise etc. Based on everything so far, I expect that it will be fine. Very happy with our purchase, didnt want to spend a ton of money on guest bedroom for a bed that will not get a ton of regular use and this frame was a great option

If you are used to inexpensive wooden bed frames, be prepared to move to the next level. The wooden ones do the job, but they are not meant to be taken apart and re assembled too often. They tend to loosen up and get sloppy. I thought I'd give a metal bed frame a go instead. This one bolts together, yet it doesn't look at all industrial and the fit of the pieces is pretty good. No weird blind nuts and threaded tubes either. Its all done with bolts. You even get a ratchet wrench with it. Yes, it has a center post, and the wooden slats are held in with Velcro; none of the "other" style with the slats held in with peg posts at the end. The slats are one piece - they go across from side to side in one length and are held in place with Velcro. I am SO tired doing hand to hand combat with 2 piece slats with the peg posts on the first slat Grrrrrr..... . So what stops the mattress from sliding off the end? Two slats have a sticky strip that the mattress sits on. Its literally held on with double sided tape. No worries. The Velcro slats and the sticky tape have the mattress locked down good. This bed frame is SOLID. Its nothing special.... not really, but it does the job with little drama and is dead easy to put together. They even give you some extra bolts. By the way, there are no nuts. The bolts thread into the metal pieces. This is an excellent bed frame. For what I paid and having dealt with wooden bed frames (think imported from a Scandinavian company) this is NO contest. I'd do it again in a heart beat. Inexpensive wooden bed frames? I'm done.

We've only been using it for a few days but it has not protested at all so far, even when my 280 lb 6'4 husband dropped onto it exhausted. I'm not small either but it doesn't seem to have any problems with our sizes. It was very easy and straightforward to assemble (although the ratchet key needs rethinking, the bit you hit to change direction is in exactly the right spot to hit the bars as you try to use it) and as I said, I was able to unpack and assemble it alone in under 20 minutes while trying to convince my brother that I didn't need to go to the hospital. Husband and brother had to work together to get the mattress on it though. The non-slip straps on the slats are a nice touch, and they appear to work too. It's so much nicer than a box spring. I hate them so much. Update: Turns out I did in fact need to go to the hospital so, more accurately, I assembled it in under 20 minutes while actively trying to die from an abdominal abcess. The bed still doesn't squeak, the mattress hasn't moved, and I am definitely replacing the other box springs in the house with these. UPDATE: Six months in, it still hasn't even squeaked. If you need a cheap, simple, reliable bed base, this is it. Another update: Over a year in and we still haven't had so much as a squeak. Husband's health hasn't been great and he has been pretty much bed bound for months. The bed still has all the original slats too. If I ever need to buy another bed it'll be one of these.

Purchased this instead of just the frame. It's cute and really easy to put together.
