As for two vs four pieces... see belowThe adapters received were exactly as stated, and the two I used have fit perfectly in connecting my Airsense 11 CPAP machine, masks and two sections of tubing together. I love a no-drama solution!As for two vs four pieces: the four adapters I received did indeed look like only two at first glance, as two of the adapters were inserted/connected to the other two. And it did take a fair amount of force to separate them. Not sure that's the issue others have had, but I did receive all four (although they came connected as two pieces).Best of luck and easy breathing all.

It was to contain 4 pieces and only 2 arrived. Neither fit my hose so I had to return them.

Worked well for my particular coupling application.

This product seemed to be great. I did not open or use, the company I had received Cpap from sent me the item I needed

Was not what I wanted. Made a second attempt to find it, They appeared to be well made.

It had 4 pieces they looked like two but you have to take them apart ,different sizes on what you need, but found the one I needed to make my mask work with the new dream machine.
