Great product
Great product if you need waxed gelcote maybe a little thinner than the west marine version and not enough colorant to make the entire bottle a dark color. But plenty of just doing some touch up spots. Overall easy to work with 10-15 minutes gel time. And sets and cures nice and hard which makes for easy sanding

Stinky, but solid stuff!
I bought this to repair a fiberglass bathtub with some hair dye stains and cracks. The previous owners rented the house out, and sometimes people don't respect the property of others as they should. After doing structural repair of the cracks I sanded the tub, mixed and tinted this gel coat and applied it heavily with a small roller. The result is beautiful! Thick, strong material that hasn't chipped or peeled with regular use over the past 6 months. Don't bother painting a bathtub like the hacks show online. Do it right with proper gel coat!

Great gel coat.
I repaired the transom on my bass boat and painted it with this gel coat and the black pigment. I like everything about this product. Well almost. There is not enough black pigment to make a darker gray. I used all of the pigment in 16 oz. of gel coat and it was lighter than slate gray. I would buy it again.

Doesn't harden and incomplete information regarding compatibility.
A one? Yes! Why? There are several reasons. Let's start with it has "With Wax" on the label in the photo, but the product when it arrives does not have that label. I inquired with the manufacturer, and was told that all of their product has the wax additive? Okay, but why is it marked on the product in the photo, but not on what I received? Item two, it doesn't harden. I used Marine Guard 8000 Epoxy resin for my repair. Nowhere does it say his gel coat is not compatible with epoxy resins. I learned this after applying and finding out that this gel coat does not harden on epoxy, even Maine epoxy resins. Well, silly me, I thought it was just the epoxy, so I ordered a specific Epoxy resin that is supposedly compatible with gel coat. I ground everything out again and started over using the NP-112 gel coat compatible epoxy resin system. Well, I'm now n day two, and this gel coat is again not hardening where the NP-112 resin was used.I'm going to end up doing this repair three times, and I'm completely certain the real issue is not the resin now, but this gel coat! If this gel coat is completely incompatible with Epoxy, then somewhere it should advise the potential customer of that. Both of the epoxy resins I used are MARINE grade. I'm even seeing this Gel coat is not just "tacky" but literally still soft over 12 hours after applying it to a fiberglass resin repair? Yes, I've followed the mixing directions to the letter.I'm staring at a third attempt at repairing my boat today, and what I thought was a resin problem seems to actually be a gel coat problem.

Works well colored matched Arima with provied pigment
10 drops MEKP per oz worked well and hardened like it should. Gel coat and MEKP have a limited useful storage time. You'll want to use it within 6 months or so. This is my second batch, I learned to store it in a lined metal paint can because the off-gassing from the plasic bottle made my garage smell.

Directions
Received product in good condition. Then read instructions, a lot of warnings and other garbage about veterans and small business stuff. Then went to actually use the product. Low and behold no mixing ratio on the catalyst. All it says is scan this, or go to website for instructions. We'll I went to website, and got a pdf print only. We'll no printer on hand I was not near a printer. Print was so small could not read it. So website was useless. Found in the bag with pigments 3 different mixing ratio. But no explanation of which one to use. So at that point it was a guess. You would think with all that useless information they print on the can they could at least give you the mixing instructions. You know most of us are in the field doing repairs, not sitting in an office with printers at hand. These so called veterans should be smart enough to have a product that has instructions on the can or at least a paper enclosed. Also if you want gravity to spread the gel coat evenly this product is not for you.It is fairly thick and will not spread evenly. You must spread it by hand, and sand it after wards.
