The socks came quickly and look good. first the good: The band at top is nice and snug so they do not sag. They are not too hot and still wick moisture away. This is the primary reason I gave them a shot - not too much wool to be hot but enough wool and other fabrics to wick moisture. They are also thick and comfy. However - the bad, they are really over sized for my 9 1/2 foot. the arch band is too far forward on the foot and not very snug...virtually pointless They are also itchy. this is not due to the wool, I have plenty of wool socks from Cabela's and Merrell, so I'm not sure what it is. I'll give them a wash and see if they shrink up. I won't buy again, I'm sticking with Merrell - maybe a bit more, but much much better hiking sock

These are the only socks my husband will wear now after trying several well known brands! They fit well, are warm and wash like a dream. So glad I came across them on Amazon. We've "stockpiled" them in case they are ever discontinued...lol

Great socks for a great price. Tested out in Telluride Colorado for 5 days at a ski resort with 5° F temperature at night. Very warm, very well constructed, very good price. I bought a different set of other socks along with these to see which was better, and wish I just bought 8 of these instead of just 4... Now I know.

Pleasantly surprised with the quality, comfort, and fit of these socks. Typically your get what you pay for. In this case they were well worth every cent.

I bought these because I made a move across the pond to a very cold and wet environment. The moisture-wicking was absolutely crucial, and the warmth provided was much needed. I have poor circulation in my feet, and I absolutely needed this. Great product and will buy more when these wear down

When I ordered these I was concerned that they may be hot to wear in hiking boots. They are so comfortable and the moisture wicking eliminates perspiration that I was originally concerned about. I am looking to order some of these for my grandson. Very good value given the quality!

They are not as comfortable and are a little more scratchy than more expensive wool socks I own. They run a little warmer than I expected as well but are fairly breathable. Time will tell regarding longevity but they appear like they will hold up for at least 1-2 years of regular use.

The pros are that these socks have a good feel and don’t creep down your calves around your ankles over the course of a day. The cons; however, are that I’ve had to repair the top hem of one (1) of the eight (8) socks after the first wash-dry cycle AND the material surface changes texture to a frayed surface after the first wash-dry cycle. Now I air dry the socks on a line after washing them on delicate cycle to prevent further damage.
