Set It And Forget It!
We had a Ronco Showtime rotisserie for years and decided it was time for an upgrade. This new model has some great new features like the element cover that keeps the grease off the burner and pops out for easy cleaning. The new timer is also a step up from the dial that we were used to, but definitely an improvement. One thing that hasn't changed is the great food that you can make. Prime rib, BBQ ribs, sausages, chicken, and more, all come out perfect. Would easily give it 10 stars if it would let me.

The machine for a perfect rotisserie.
Great product. Makes the best moist chicken. Don’t buy rotisseries at grocery stores, make them at home for a healthier and tastier meal. I make a rotisserie and save leftovers for chicken soup. This machine is just as good as the first Ronco I bought over 20 years ago.

Best chicken/turkey breast
I just un boxed my rotisserie oven today and used it for the 1st time. The chicken is very juicy and tender. And clean up was so easy . Update 3/20/25 i cooked a 7lb turkey breast and it was amazing. Only disappointment I have is the time printed on the side of machine is coming off. So I don’t know how many minutes to stuff no without looking it up online

Awesome
I am a REAL PERSON!!. I had wanted to buy a rotisserie for a while, when I was young we had a Faberware that worked well. This Rotisserie is awesome. We simply put in the chicken, and even without any seasoning, we found it tasted great. The cooking time is important, and having a MEAT thermometer is critical. The Ronco Showtime Large Capacity Rotisserie is an awesome kitchen device that everyone should have.

Much better than the original version
So after having my original rotisserie for about 10 years, the heating element final gave out. We usually do a chicken once a week and it always came out great: My biggest gripes were:1) OLD: No heat control (always used 1.5 - 1.25 hrs for a medium sized chicken. about 90% success rate with the method1) NEW:.. So there are now two distances from the heating element that you can use which is great...at first glance.. However they cut the rotational speed to a much slower speed so it seems to have negated the ability to have two different cooking temperatures. You have to watch it much more as the slow rotation as it seems to cook hotter. BE CAREFUL WITH THE ROTISSERIE ON THE CLOSEST. It is very hot.2) OLD: The rotisserie assembly was teflon-like coating that continued to peel off over time. I kept threatening to replaces the straight pieces of the assembly with stainless steel so It wouldn't be such a pain.2) NEW: Not only did they make the rotisserie assembly stainless steel which makes cleaning a breeze but added a removal stainless steel plate that is flat and curved and slips behind the heating element. Much easier to clean...however, I believe this is what has raised the cooking temperature. The heat not reflects off the shiny stainless steel deflector plate toward the food being cooked...3) OLD: getting the food lined up on the grill assembly (centered as good as possible) was a pain in the rear end. The rods that go through the chicken or meat are flexible and when they come out the other end they can be "off" enough that they wont go into the other end of the assembly and you have to start over.3)NEW; The stainless steel rods are much stiffer and wont flex as much. In addition they provide a plastic stand that the assembly can be set in pointing the rods "up" and enabling you to align the meat with both hands. Works much better.4)OLD: The timer was mechanical...fool proof. If you wanted to pause you just turned the dial off, if you wanted to change the time left you just turned the dial...etc... Kind of like apples mouse with a single button.4)NEW: DIGITAL display...push buttons to pause, stop, start.... Same functions as "OLD" but digital looks cool! No value add here friends!I like the new one as much as the old one...a bit better because of the stainless steel. It has some flaws but they are workable if you pay attention to what you are doing. I just did a small "beef sirloin roast" with it and it came out very good... Salted it and stuffed it with cloves of garlic..left overnight then rinsed it off the next day and cooked it. again...very tender and tasty!

Reliability, timings process, convenience space, healthy eating
The rotisserie oven works well and convenient of not having to watch over the food. Easy cleanup although I put small piece of parchment paper in between the dripping tray for easier cleanup. foods turned out to be moist, tender not overcooked nor dry. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to eat healthier without the use of oils and greases. Convenience countertop space.

Smokes Like A Warehouse Fire
Probably 10-15 years ago we got a Ronco (yeah, As Seen On TV) Showtime Rotisserie. For all those years that thing was bullet proof and magical on anything – chicken, beef roast, pork roast, until it gave up.Ordered new one. top of the line , “Platinum” model. It showed up 2 weeks or so ago. A tiny plastic corner broken. Not much but it’s *vital* to hold the glass door in. eh, a few tries and got it epoxied, held the door ok.Tonight, first try, roa$t pork loin. After about 15 minutes, it’s smoking. Not the machine, but the grease drippings and heating element. After 25 minutes the house is full of smoke, all doors open, all fans on, wife struggling with breathing problems. Shut it down, roast moved into the oven. Angry, ready to toss it in the garbage and take my loss.Found Amazon chat, bypassed the bot to get a human, Pratik. I explain my problem, ready for a return denial. Curiously, Pratik is sympathetic, and asks if I want a refund or exchange. I ask if he understands, it’s been used? Yep. Would I like a gift card or credit to the original purchase method. I choose credit and ask “You understand I have NO original packaging, I have the original accessories, and it’s been *used*?” Yep. Would you like to send it, or would you like a mailing label? I chose mailing label. Pratik obliges. I ask him “so, you’re going to email me a mailing label?” Response: "already done sir." He ends the chat with “Best health to you and your family and happy holidays.”Minimum rating for the purchase item, maximum to customer service. Save the effort and skip the purchase. Updated junk, IMHO.-jeffb

Set it and forget it!
The media could not be loaded. This product is awesome. I put in a 9 pound turkey breast with nothing on it no salt, no butter nothing and under three hours. The turkey was the most tender, most juicy, most flavorful turkey I ever had.
