Quiet and Effective
We recently moved to the city into a tiny apartment with a large dog that sheds heavily. I don't usually have allergies but noticed that I started sneezing a ton more in this new living situation. I did a bit of research on air purifiers and settled on this one primarily because of the price and the way it looks. I wanted something that was visually unobtrusive. I have been very happy with how this purifier has worked out for us. We've definitely notices an improvement in the air quality in our apartment. It has eliminated all of the sneezing I was experiencing. It is quiet in it's low and medium settings, and sounds like a fan on the highest setting. I leave it on auto mode and it really only kicks into high gear when the dog lays on her bed (right next to the purifier) or when we're cooking. It seems to be very sensitive to increased air pollution and adjusts the speed responsively. The pre-filter works really well. I'm a bit appalled by how gross it gets, but it's nice to see that it is, indeed, filtering small particles out of the air. I give it a quick wipe with a wet cloth once a week, very easy and convenient to clean. Worth the cost, very happy with this purchase.

Amazing!
This is my third brand of air purifier I have purchased. I got these two on a Black Friday deal! I love these things so much. They are an absolute BREEZE to clean. You just vacuum out the prefilter every two weeks (or rinse it if it gets too gross) Filter replacement is easy peasy! You do have to buy a deodorizing filter every six months and a HEPA filter every year per the instruction manual. But you can buy a multipack of them for cost savings (the one I bought will last at least two years if I change the filters on time-I am a little bit of a procrastinator though I admit) The best part of these is that they are really responsive to the purifying needs of the room! Once I was dusting above it and it sensed the dust and went full power on its own! I was floored. It has an indicator light that shows you what your current air quality is. I’m amazed. And our allergies have improved so much since I started using them.

I love it! Easy to clean, works so well!
I've had this air purifier for a few weeks and I like it a lot. I noticed a difference the first day I had it. It's not noisy and I don't even notice the light at night. There is an option to turn off as well if that's something you'd like to be able to do. I had a Winix before this one, and this one seems to actually work a bit better...I cleaned my oscillated pedestal fan, and it pulled in all the dust and dust bunnies that flew off the fan cover and blades while I was cleaning, and all I had to do was wipe the front of the unit and the washable screen filter afterward. The COWAY is smaller than my Winix, but the filters are made to fit snugly, whereas the Winix filters will basically fall out when you remove the washable screen filter. The Air Quality Sensor is really sensitive too, I can spray hairspray in the next room and it somehow picks it up and the light will go from blue to green to yellow every time. The sensor area is also able to be cleaned, with my winix, that wasn't a possibility and the sensor stopped working after a while and the light no longer every changed to indicate air quality changes. Not to mention I love the color of the unit. My room is done in shade of green and I love having an air purifier that isn't black, white or grey. My severe Allergies and my Gaming computer are glad to have less dust to deal with. 10/10 would recommend

A keeper!
I want one of these in every room! I turn it on when I’m cooking and it quickly removes all the smell even bacon smoke! Quickly gets rid of cooking odors and has made a big difference in the pollen on the inside of my house. Super quiet on 1 and 2. 3 is a little noisy but still not too much! It’s easy to clean and is super nice quality.

Good, but could be slightly better
TL;DR Pros: -Quiet -Relatively small -Looks good (personal opinion) -Relatively inexpensive Cons: -Needs better documentation -Missing second charcoal foam filter -Missing any sort of convenient handle -Not suitable for large rooms/spaces Detailed Review: I have one of the AirMega AP-1512 (now replaced by the almost identical 200M). My choice in selecting and procuring that model was down to all the great reviews that compared the performance, power consumption, cost to buy, and cost to own of several of the top performing and popular brands on the market. There were others that outperformed the Coway, but not enough to be significant, and none were as cheap to procure and own (the running costs of the Coway were hands down less than any other brand). Having a great experience with the AP-1512, I decided to try the new 150 model to use in a smaller room (my 10’ x 10’ office), and because being confined to my house for the past year has more dust being created were I sit and work all day. My first impressions were good. The 150 seems to be well built and has familiar features and layout to the older unit I have been using for years. One thing I notice immediately when I was unboxing the unit was that it only comes with a single charcoal foam filter, which is supposed to be changed out after 6 months, but the HEPA filter is at 1 year. This means I either have to use the foam filter for a full year or replace the HEPA filter early. I wish it would have come with 2 of the foam filters as you would get in a filter replacement pack. Outside of missing one foam filter to make it through a year (and you can only by the replacement filters as a set and not individual components), the unit is also missing any sort of convenient handle to pick up and move it (the AP-1512 has a handle on it). After getting all the wrapping and tape off, the filters installed, and plugged into power, it fired right up and started working in Auto mode. The first thing I noticed is how quiet it is, but also how gentle the air flow is (meaning it isn’t flowing much air at low speed). There was a mild smell to it from the glue on the filters, but after a few hours (maybe a day), this all cleared up (I’ve heard some with major complaints of glue/chemical smells on the AP-1512 replacement filters, so I wasn’t overly surprised). I noticed that after running for an hour or so, the color changing light for auto mode was off and the unit said it was in Mode 1 instead of Auto. I thought something was up, so I cycled through the different Modes (fan speeds) and back to Auto. It stayed there for a while and went back to Mode 1. I thought maybe I had a bad unit, so I read the manual to make sure I understood its operation. That’s when I found out that the manual sucks and does not have near enough information about how this unit works and I now see why there are certain questions about this unit on the Amazon product page (like which was the filters are as the label FRONT on the HEPA filter actually points to the inside of the unit, which would technically be towards the back wouldn’t it?). It turns out that the Auto mode sometimes kicks out and into a more power saving mode, and when it does this, it erroneously shows as Mode 1 (and note that when it does this, it is flowing less air and even quieter than when showing as Auto Mode with a Blue status / air quality light). When the air quality is sensed to be bad enough, it pops out of the Mode 1 and into Auto Mode, so I guess this is all normal. As many have mentioned, this unit is pretty darn quiet, except when going into high gear. At the mid-level (Mode 2 or Green air quality light), it is a bit louder, but not too bad. Mode 3 (Yellow air quality light) is much louder, but about what I expected as the AP-1512 isn’t exactly quiet when it thinks it needs to evacuate the room of all dirty air right this instant. After living with one of the Coway 150 for a couple of weeks, I ordered a second unit to go in another room (13’ x 13’ bedroom) and next to a cat litter box (to help with dust control and general air quality in the room). I noticed that it’s Auto Mode and lights worked the same as the first unit (confirming that I didn’t just get a bad unit). I also noticed that the fan motor was a bit noisier, so I was wondering about quality control of the parts used to make these units. After a few weeks though, the fan motor quieted down and is about as silent as the first unit I procured. These two units are working well and I would certainly think of getting another if needed or recommending one for another person; however, I would not recommend the 150 for anything other than a small room (like an office or regular bedroom). If you have a larger bedroom, living room, etc., then I would look at the 200M, 300 or 400 to cover the larger space as the 150 just won’t cut it.

Great-looking, minimalist air purifier
I previously had a nice-looking, "smart" Mila air purifier. It was fine as an air purifier, but it was very expensive, and the "smart" features kept disconnecting. So, when it finally stopped working, I decided to replace it with an air purifier that's relatively simple. However, I wanted something that still matched the aesthetic of my apartment. This Coway 150 seemed to fit! Love the look of it, and it does a pretty job purifying, as well. Cooking? The purifier starts running. Open the hallway door? The purifier starts running. I feel better about the air quality in my apartment while also being happy about how it looks.

You get what you pay for...
I approached the purchase of this air purifier with initial skepticism, given the plethora of alternatives from lesser-known brands boasting similar or even greater coverage at significantly lower prices. However, upon its arrival, my reservations were quickly dispelled by the unit's impressive design. It seamlessly integrates into any room aesthetic, becoming a stylish and welcomed addition to every corner of my apartment. What truly impressed me further were the noise levels, which proved to be nearly inaudible on two out of the three fan settings. This feature has undoubtedly contributed to a more peaceful and undisturbed living environment. Interestingly, I discovered that others have successfully incorporated this air purifier into their smart home setups using a smart plug. Nevertheless, I've personally opted to keep it on "Auto" mode, appreciating its real-time air quality monitoring and responsive adjustments. The impact on my living space has been tangible. I've noticed a marked improvement in both the air quality of my home and a reduction in my allergy symptoms since incorporating this air purifier into my daily routine. In essence, my initial skepticism has transformed into a genuine appreciation for the effectiveness and aesthetic appeal of this unit. It has undoubtedly proven to be a valuable investment in enhancing the overall atmosphere of my living space.

Beautiful, but possibly less efficienct
Like other reviewers, I suspect that the design is causing it to be less effective than other coway air filters. Compared to when using other coway filters, my room tends to get dustier more quickly. It does put out a strong air flow, which is nice, and it works better than smaller Blue filters i've used. My advice would be to go with a more standard, possibly-less-attractive coway air purifier if you value effectiveness above aesthetics!
