Sturdy and reliable
These butterfly clasps are terriffic. Im shocked at how well they work and how reliable they have been to wear. They will keep my suede and leather bands looking good for a long time vs. using a tang buckle. They look and feel very nice. Perfect buy!!

Secure mechanism with no rattling
I've been told that all Amazon deployant clasps are terrible, so I was hesitant to try this out. I looked for one that seemed to have authentic reviews and settled on this one. Let me tell, you...I'm very impressed. In the closed position, this clasp does not rattle or make any noises AT ALL. The mechanism locks very securely, and no matter how much I contort my wrist I can't get it to fail or come unlocked. The side buttons don't rattle either and feel very solid. When unlocking the deployant the button have very positive feedback and the mechanism opens with authority. The polished finish on the clasp is done quite well and doesn't look cheap or low quality at all. I am now using this with my Oris Big Crown Pointer Date, and I think it looks right at home. I'll never buy a $60 deployant clasp again! Just ordered 2 more of these.

Great Value Deployant!
I was very skeptical of this deployant seeing as reddit and forums pan all cheap deployants. But this was so affordable I thought I'd give it a go. This deployant has a strong retention and I spent a few minutes trying to force it open without the pushers. That's to say, it definitely will stay closed! As far as comfort, the hinge area is well rounded and doesn't have much sharp edges so no problems there. The single piece design on the bottom also prevents skin grabbing. However, the stainless steel cover over the pushers (circled blue in the photo) is somewhat sharp. It's not sharp enough to be fully uncomfortable but it does make it's presence known occasionally. Thickness isn't too bad either. Overall, the clasp does its job protecting my leather strap and staying secured. It's fairly comfortable but not the most comfortable deployant I've used. But it was very cheap. Definitely worth a shot and no qualms putting this on my more expensive watches!

Great butterfly clasp
I bought several Vellsar butterfly clasps in 18mm and 20mm, and the build quality is consistently impressive. The clasp feels exceptionally sturdy and secure. It has tight tolerance and very little play/wiggle on the joints, unlike the other flimsy and wobbly butterfly clasps I’ve tried. It has a satisfyingly strong spring action when opening and tactile click when closing. The finish is smooth on the entire clasp, and free of blemishes and irritating sharp edges. I wish it came in more finishes like brushed/satin, as well as a black and gold. Also, it has a slightly thicker profile which might be less appealing to those seeking for a low profile option.

As Described
Picked up a couple of these butterfly clasps in 20mm and 18mm for a Casio Pilot and a Sea-Gull 1963! Great fit after easy install and adjustment. Very pleased with the look, price and performance. Will update reliability after wearing it over time.

Great so Far
I purchased 2 of these to replace the originals on a couple watch straps where the butterfly constantly kept opening. So far they are working well, with not a single issue. You get everything you need to replace your existing clasp and the install is quick and easy.
