Yes, they are easy to peel. Just put in cold water after cooking. This is a great machine that takes the guessing out of boiling eggs and you can make a lot of eggs at one time or less. I love this tool.

Q: Is it easy to poke a hole in the egg without breaking it?

Yes. Very easy. It comes with the tool needed to do that part. You poke the fatter end of the egg using the needle on the bottom of the measuring cup provided.
