ArnoldMaxi-Edge .08-Inch x 40-Foot Residential Grade String Trimmer Line

Because the quality of trimmer string can vary, I have tried several brands. YouTube videos of DAN'S VLOG recommended going with Oregon .080 commercial line because it cuts smoother. I discovered this Arnold Trimmer Line for a few dollars and it really holds up well. In the past, I always used .095 and tried a test by running the thinner .080 and replacing it with the .095, the thicker line is stiff and requires more engine speed to cut grass just like Dan said. I had a pack of STIHL line and that was the worst brand I ever used, their reputation failed me. Arnold Maxi-Edge is low cost and lasted longer than other brands cutting heavy weeds around my property. *The test was done on a new string trimmer because I was having issues with my old trimmer head. Arnold .080 (green) was compared to Grass Gator .095 (orange) and I think the thinner green line works better for maintenance trimming (not monster weeds).

Works like normal string

I bought this (.080) to replace the standard .065 line on my Toro 51486 Cordless 12-Inch battery powered trimmer. The .065 worked but was always breaking too easily. This works much better. I will warn you that the RPM's sound a little more strained than it does with the .065.I also installed it on my gas powered WeedEater gas powered trimmer to replace its .065 line and again this line works much better even on large tough weeds.

Did not work well with my electric weed-eater. I do not know if it was the string or the device.
