Great compost and I have ordered this a few times before and I will be ordering again this season. The evergreens, shrubs , vegetable garden and flowers love it.

I used this to transplant my geraniums in to bring indoors over the winter months. In the Spring we worked this compost into our garden bed so it was dual duty. A little pricey but excellent quality.

This is some of the best compost available on amazon. Probably in the top 2 for me so far. The difference between this and my other favorite compost I’ve found on amazon, blue ribbon, is that the wakefield seems more biologically live, lots of what I’m guessing is mycorrhizae. The blue ribbon is a dark black compost perhaps more bacteria dominant, wakefield is a dark brown / dark black mix compost with white strands and flecks denoting a more fungal dominant compost. I say get both, along with some biochar. Always remember to charge the biochar with the compost (mix biochar with compost, and/or vermicompost aka earthworm castings, and let sit at least 24 hours, spray a tiny amount of water to encourage inoculation) and/or a liquid bacterial inoculant such as EM1.

Compost was that nice, earthy, rich black soil that you want. Came fresh with no dryness or dampness.

I only rated this 3 stars because it sounded better than it really is in my opinion.

It was dry so there was no mess distributing mud, when I needed compost. Smell was good, ease of use. Good packaging

My cucumber and pepperplants were very happy and growing large immediately after receiving some of these. It has no odor which makes my neighbors very happy

I like to mix it up a little by using different amendments in my raised bed gardens
