Best Quality! Micro Soil Blocking Blend with Organic Compost and Greensand - 8 Dry Quart Bag

This worked great in the Micro Soil Block Maker.It was a bit pricey and a small bag. I used seed starter and my own compost for the Micro 4 mini block maker and that worked great too. I'll make my own seed starting mix from now on to save money.

Something in the mix was to coarse for the tiny blocks to hold together. Make own mix using 1 part peat moss 1 part vermiculite and 1 part compost.The compost i use is a mixture of black cow compost and earthworn castings. Micro's holds together very well using this blend and at a fraction of the cost. Any left over save or use as a potting mix for your plants.

This stuff works really well for the micro soil blocks. The stuff from this company that doesn't say MICRO doesn't work well in them at all. I planted some asparagus in that and it must have been packed too tightly in order to fit in the micro blocks so the roots from the asparagus aren't really going down into the soil. Some seeds that I planted in this have done a LOT better.
