I take care of some feral cats and needed something that would rid the worms in them without me having to catch them and insert a pill. I do apply a topical on the bulk of them yet there is always one or two who see what I am about to apply so they back off. This year was a big one for fleas in my area so I wanted to be ready. I did a ton of research and found a few sites, ran by vets and vet assistance who care to let people in on this little secrete, that this type solution work on pets as well. THE BIG DIFFERENCE IS KNOW THE DOSAGE. Luckily I found a dosage chart at a few sites.....a little tuna and dosage mix to each of them and no more issue. I don't know if they had them yet they are feral, or rather semi feral now, so treatment was done as a safe guard after my personal cat came down with worms. She is prone to such even though she has been treated with topical for the entirety of being with me. I keep a watchful eye on that so when I saw she had them it meant doing all the cats on this property...if one has them most likely all have them is my thought to this.I will state that using this to de-wormed takes a couple of doses yet is still far less costly than buy pet pre packaged items, seeing how I have some many to treat. Most sites that show the dosage chart are consistent as far as volume in which to give yet the recommended follow up can differ. Some state to re-treat after 4 week, others stated 2-4 weeks and some stated after 2 week. I believe the reason for this is due to knowing how bad you cat may have worms. Insects in general have a 21 day life cycle meaning eggs hatch then. Worms in our pets are cause by ingesting the flea which turn into worm which eventually come out via fecal matter which become fleas. With that said treating to break this cycle is important. Waiting 4 weeks may not be an option for you yet is for others. As I stated, my personal cat is prone to this so I treated her after two weeks. As far as any effect on the cats nature...at the sites I read for dosage stated some issue could occur yet for the most part it is a safe way to treat for such. In the 8 feral and my personal cat I saw no ill effect and no worms afterwards.

This is my 2nd time ordering. We have 8 dogs, so regular de-wormings is not the cheapest but it has to be done. We also raise puppies seasonally. All of which, have had doses of this and nobody has ever had a bad reaction to it. It seems effective in treating the worms & parasites Pyrantel is supposed to kill. Please note that different wormers kill different parasites, so just using this solely in your dogs worming regime will not suffice. However it does cover the majority. We also use SafeGuard Goat Wormer. My dogs don’t seem to mind the taste, in fact a couple of them seem to like it!

Needed this for pets as well as the family. The flavor makes it easy to swallow and not a dread. Smell is sweet like cupcake batter to me. Works. Easy to use.

Edit once more 6/2024: I had issues with getting rid of the stuff, what really works if it's stubborn is drinking a lot of tarragon tea to salt the intestines. I also used ivermectin for myself, but I don't use it for dogs because they can't tolerate it as well.And I used the parasite testing pills from Dr Omar.Also 3 tablespoons organic castor oil once a week will clean the intestines which they can nest in.2 years of worm symptoms receding, I will keep treating it for a month after symptoms are gone as advised, like antibiotics.edit: I took safeguard fenbendazole for goats and pinworm symptoms were gone in one 11mg/kg dose. people take huge doses to try to treat cancer so it should be fine doing 10-20mg/kg. at 270 lbs I took 15ml. doesn't taste as good but 16 months of pinworms gone in one treatment which I'll do again in 2 weeks. pyrantel didn't work for me even when i took it 5 days in a row.old review:I've had symptoms I suspect are pinworms, and this reduced them for a bit but it came back. I've dosed weekly instead of 2x a week and they get weaker but come back.It also made me feel sick, probably from dieoff symptoms.But I don't think this is as non toxic as they make it seem.I've heard from a friend to try food grade diatomaceous earth or bromelain to get rid of intestinal worms, I will try the Diatomaceous Earth because I can take that daily for 30 days. I could try taking this 3 days in a row (hookworm protocol) but I'm not sure if I want to feel sick again, which I do every time I take this. So I'm going to retire it unless I feel I need it.
