To be very honest with you I use the oil and I use the shampoo. I put the oil on my hair once a week and let it sit on my hair for a few hours before I take my shower. Then I wash my hair out twice with the Indie Earth Red shampoo from India. I tried something else my sister told me about and went right back to my routine with this awesome produ the indie Earth red onion shampoo and oil treatment. I will not use anything else it has helped my hair immensely. You can also mix some of the indie Earth red oil into coconut or avocado other favorite oils I know coconut oil is very good for the hair.
