You adapt. I've had bilateral neuropathy for about 10 years and adapted how I control the pedals....not so much by flexing at the ankle, but more so by using the knee/leg to pull/push. With my first pair of AFO's i asked my PT the same question... he pointed out I hadn't been driving with my ankle for years, so it wouldn't be a problem. He was right.

Can I purchase an extra band with welcro? Mine has gotten old and does not stick well.
