RAM Mounts RAP-B-202U-GOP1 Action Camera Universal Ball Adapter with B Size 1" Ball

Great.

I use this along with the RAM Mount Zinc Coated U-Bolt Base w/1" Ball and RAM Mount Aluminum Short Dual 1.0 inch Socket Arm to attach a GoPro camera to my race motorcycle clipon. It's extremely sturdy and adjustable.It easily puts up with all the vibrations of the bike going around the track, at times reaching speeds over 150mph and it doesn't budge even in the event of a crash (yes, crash tested). To give you an idea, prior to safety wiring, I've had bolts back themselves out due to the extreme vibrations of the engine spinning almost 17,000 RPM.Initially I was concerned about movement, since unlike certain other camera mounts which come with rubber ball this one is plastic, however that hasn't been a problem and in fact I like the plastic more since it doesn't "imprint" which makes it easier to make micro-adjustments for that perfect camera angle.

I already had a Ram Mount adapter that I leave installed hidden behind my rear-view mirror in my car. When I got my GoPro I was about to buy the suction cup mount for the camera and then I remembered seeing this as an option. I'm glad I did.Instead of buying specific GoPro mounts I can stick to the Ram Mounts that I already have and just use this to adapt the camera to them.My only complaint is that it requires a screwdriver. I was hoping to use the thumbscrews that GoPro uses as standard but the nut that fits into this is too small. I could have got a bigger nut but then I would have had to modify the adapter to accept it by drilling out the side that is socketed for the included nut. In the end I just carry a small screw driver with me.I do recommend using a few drops of superglue to hold the nut in the mount though. They come separate but that little nut will get lost if you're not careful. Just a few drops of glue and it is secure.

Excellent quality product, totally in-line with RAM mount standards. The only negative thing is the love/hate feeling I have about the screw that comes with the kit instead of a tightening knob. I love the fact that I can use a screwdriver to tighten it to the point I feel comfortable it's not going to vibrate free, but now I have to carry a screwdriver in my kit that takes up space and adds weight. Tightening knobs suck, I never feel they get tight enough with just my fingers to trust an expensive camera hanging out in the wind. In any case, if you need to connect your action camera to your RAM mount, this is by far the best product.

Not a bad mount, but it's severely hampered by the absence of a thumb screw.WHY DID I BUY?I use a RAM mount system in my car and on my motorcycle. This mount made total sense. I planned on using it on the handlebar RAM mount on the motorcycle AND the windshield mount for my SUV.OVERVIEWThe package is standard RAM mount -- not much to it, just plastic and a little tiny brochure along with the mount hardware.It comes with two (2) ways to mount the RAM mount ball -- 1) to the GoPro camera shell and 2) to a GoPro sticky mount (e.g. the curved mount that you might put on your helmet).The screws are different sizes for the two (2) applications. Since it's not a thumb screw, you'll have to keep up with the washer, nut and bolt for both applications.This is probbably the worst part about this entire mount. I have to use a screwdriver to remove the ball mount from my GoPro after I'm done with the motorcycle. Then I have to store the assembled ball mount somewhere along with a screwdriver. This is REALLY inefficient.I tried the thumbscrew from an extra GoPro mount, and the threading / size was different. Standards for the win?! :-(PROS- It's a RAM mount- It works perfectly with a GoPro shellCONS- Not compatible with GoPro thumbscrews- Requires assembly with a screwdriver- Extra screw for attaching ball to GoPro mount is odd / would rather have thumbscrew

There is simply nothing better. They are virtually indestructible, hold without any fear of coming loose, easily adjustable and removable and are generally inexpensive.Buy it!

Fits snuggly on the GoPro 11 Mini, as well as the case and frame for my Hero 3. Locks tightly in any position and doesn't easily succumb to vibration. I did notice it included 2 screws, one was just barely too short to reach the nylon insert in the locknut when installed on a camera, and the other was quite a bit longer and protruded from the end of the nut by a few millimeters. No real complaints yet though!

(One star)Only one issue, wrong product. All my go pro mounts have always been ram mounts. They are very well made and are dependable and durable. This is first time Amazon has sent incorrect product. Will update when issue resolved.Update: 9/15/2022Seller issued correct replacement right away. I received item asap. Great customer service. From a one star to a 5 star. RAM MOUNTS never dissapoint.
