Good Value for Small Flocks.
Great for the price. Only one of my goats needs shearing, and I had been really struggling with hand shears. I have never used any other electric shears, so I can't really compare the noise level or heat to anything else, but they worked very well. I used the oil that came with them and some cooling spray, but they didn't get excessively hot. I'm assuming these won't last as long as an expensive set, but I think they are a great option for someone who only needs to shear a few animals once or twice a year. Even if I had to buy a new one every year, it is totally worth the convenience. As long as you know general animal grooming safety, they are much safer while giving a closer cut than hand shears. My biggest caution is to be careful not to let the animal kick into the comb (or kick your hand into the comb), but that goes for any electric shears. I also see a lot of people getting these for dogs, and I would NOT recommend using them on a dog. They are much louder than dog grooming clippers, and if your dog is matted, you can use a 10 or 30 blade to get under mats much more safely, with a better result. It is really not necessary to get something this powerful for dog hair.

Works! but dulls fast
5 Stars for price and quality!! Here's a picture of the first sheep I ever sheered with Beetro Shears. 4 Stars on "Sheerness" because the blades dull and gum up rather quickly. BUT they cleaned and sharpened up very easily by taking off the blade from the "chicken feet" and running a file along the vertical, scissor like top blade on each side. I did not file the flat blade-to-blade part because I think that would misalign and ruin it. Also they do heat up fast so I would just touch the smooth bottom of the blades to my skin and when they would burn, I stood the sheep up and waited for the the shears to cool. Slower that way, but for my farm slower is better than paying thousands for professional shears! I sheared 4 Shetland Sheep! On the second sheep the blade was dull (and so was I to not figure that out) so the job was worse. Then I switched blades and the third sheep went very well. Then on my fourth sheep I decided to try filing the blade and it worked well!

Better than Expected - Sheered w/o issue.
Due to professional sheep shearers not being as professional as I would like I decided to give it a try myself as I have done every other animal we have. I read all the reviews before purchase and was wary my first time to watch for heat and blade issues. . . . . . . .None of those things happened. I oiled the blades well plus the top hole, let it run for a min or two to let the oil coat everything well. During shearing I wiped and brushed blades clean and re dotted with oil. Ran for 2 hours and never had any issues with the blades being hot, ventilation, overheating, or the blades going dull. Blades got dirty, no question, but not dull. It cut through our thickest wooled sheep who was late to be sheared and got through some very dense wool. Had almost no issues with cutting the skin of the animal (except when someone tried to help and pulled on the wool). Even did very nice on the face where the sheep would shut their eyes and I trimmed right around them. Cons or things to know - Needs good power source - tripped the dedicated circuit breaker for outdoors the first time I turned it on. Con/Pro? - Doesn't get as close to the skin as a more expensive shearing device would as a professional trimmer does. We joked our sheep would be sunburnt when a pro did it and this leaves a nice short level of fluff where you just can't see the skin and would need to go over with a clippers if you want a skin close trim. We like this where are sheep aren't sunburnt for a week following sheering.

Perfect for Great Pyrenees !!!!! Worked on Mattes!!!!
Thank goodness I finally found something that will cut my Great Pyrenees extra thick double coat and matted pantaloons from the winter. I tried a couple other professional grade pet clippers and they did nothing. Like they wouldn't even cut a single hair. These dog's coats are crazy thick. It's like, well, wool. These Sheep Shears - oh my. AMAZING. I literally laughed aloud with glee as they cut my dog's hair. It was like literal butter on these mattes. Is the cut perfectly even? Nope (might get better with practice), but I don't care. My dog is groomed and he's super happy to not be wearing a 6 inch winter coat outside in the Summer. I wish I had bought these years ago. (I know it said not for dogs, but literally nothing for dogs worked. If you have a super thick coated dog - this is perfect).

I love these clippers!! No problem on my first shearing.
I ordered BEETRO 500W, Electric Professional Sheep Shears, Animal Grooming Clippers for Sheep Alpacas Goats... after reading through several reviews. I have prior experience as a dog groomer, so felt confident that I could adjust to shearing sheep. The shears worked great. I didn't feel any resistance while it was going through the wool. I oiled the blades well and often as stated in the instructions, and in some earlier reviews, and they never got hot. I used them for the neck and body moving downward at the top of the legs so as not to cut the skin where the legs attach to the body. I used these scissors: Ihttps://www.amazon.com/Thorntons-Art-Supply-Multi-Purpose-Seamstress/dp/B01C1U2MLG/ref=sr_1_2?crid=1XSDK3QDISUJM&keywords=Craft+Arthritis+Soft+Grip+Spring-Assisted+8-Inch+Scissors&qid=1692120313&sprefix=craft+arthritis+soft+grip+spring-assisted+8-inch+scissors%2Caps%2C196&sr=8-2 to trim around her head, face, legs, and under belly because I felt it was easier for me and safer for her. They also work great! Her fleece is amazing and she is happy. No nicks and very few second cuts. My stand was a repurposed milk stand, using my wagon sides to help keep her from falling off the sides. The instructions say not to use on dogs. I would agree. I would highly recommend these clippers for an owner of a small flock of sheep.

Ok
Works well to sheer sheep, but the blade seems dull after one lamb. Needed a new blade after the second lamb, it barely trimmed our wether, he looks like a hot mess

Worked great on a matted elderly Tibetan Mastiff. Very loud but does the job efficiently.

10 min pour trimmer un chien de 150lbs...

Does what it has to do. Not sure how it would hold up if I had 500 or more ewes to shear every year. But for a few it does the job.
