Alpatronix Battery Case for Apple iPhone SE 3rd Gen 2022/SE 2nd Gen (2020), iPhone 8, iPhone 7, iPhone 6S & iPhone 6, Slim Protective Charging Case, Wireless Charging & Lightning Input (4.7-inch)

I have a Iphone SE 3rd generation. The case arrived quickly and was fully charged when I recieved it. Packaging was very well labeled with a screen protector and charging cord is a really nice addition.This case fit perfectly and begain charging my iphone after pushing the button for 3 seconds. Works perfectly. All of the buttons are easy to use and match perfectly to my iphone SE.Obviously this case adds a bit of size and weight to the phone, but I feel it is a good trade off for having the extra battery capasity. I also persopnally felt the phone was easier to manage in my hand as the case has more grip than the outside of the iphone. While I think the black color is very boring, it does not effect any performance of the case on the phone.

I bought this case for my iPhone 8 after buying the same brand Alpatronix for my wife’s iPhone X. It came well packaged which gave it a quality feel right from the get go. The case has smooth rounded edges and is lightweight compared to other brand cases I have owned. The case does not stick out like other brands which is something I look for in a good case. The bottom half of the case that the iphone slides in to acts to amplify sound from the iphone speakers which are located on the bottom edge of the phone and direct it to the front of the phone where the case speakers have an opening. The phone slides snuggly into the case and the top piece then slides on. The top piece is a little harder to get off the phone when you are taking the iPhone out of the case but it works well in making the iPhone fit into the case properly. The back of the case has a 4 notch light readout to signify the power left in the cases battery pack. I can charge my phone about 1 1/2 times with a full case charge which gets me through long days of work and travel. The one draw back is listening to music with the case on, as the iPhone ear buds won’t plug into the bottom of the case. This seems to be more a problem with iPhone design however since they’ve gotten rid of the phone jack for speakers that use to be in the top of their phones, wireless ear buds are needed if you want to listen to music through earbuds without removing the iPhone from the case. All around this is a great case with Qi charging as well and worth the price for the value and quality it provides.

The first case I received did not function at all. I asked for a replacement rather than a return, as I really liked how easy it was to take in and out of the case. The phone case functioned well for about a week at which point it stopped charging the phone despite the battery case itself having a full charge. I was glad every time I had to take it out of the case to charge it for how easy it was to take the case on and off, but I really would rather have had a product that was capable of functioning more than a week. Took me longer than a week to get around to filling out the request to return the product and then I noticed the tech support was recommended. So I tried it. Couldn't imagine how the troubleshooting could possibly be effective on a device that only had one button, but it actually was. He told me to take the phone out, plug the case into the charger and make sure it had a full charge before reinserting the phone. Suddenly my phone was functioning again, both with allowing the phone to charge when the battery case was plugged in, and when I was out and about and pushed the button on the back to get it to recharge. Sadly, it didn't stay functional for long., and the troubleshooting steps did not work the next time to get it to start operating again. I had it just long enough for the return window to expire, but after explaining the situation and how I didn't want a free replacement from the company, I wanted to do the return so that I wouldn't be out the money for such an unreliabile product. Despite my rating, the battery life was great! That case will hold a charge forever because it doesn't put any of it back into the phone.

Update: August 6, 2018This case is still performing very well considering I have used it everyday since my first review. Although, I did start encountering some trouble with my charging port. So, I wanted to warn anyone interested in this case that this could possibly become an issue 4 to 5 months in. I'm gonna just buy a Wireless Qi charger to remedy that. But, I will be knocking off a star because of the port issues.Original ReviewAt the time of this writing, I have had my BX190 for a week. My impression so far is overwhelmingly positive for the most part. The case comes in a very simple yet appealing box that has a 3D picture of the case, that sticks out a bit with a really smooth finish, and the Alpatronix logo, with a colorful battery symbol that makes it clear that this case is Apple Certified.Upon opening the box I was happy to find that the case does indeed come with the screen protector shown in the picture. Also, found in the box is a Micro USB cord (used for charging the case).I'm very pleased with how well the case fits around my iPhone 8, giving it both protection and extra battery life. The case gives my iPhone 8 a full charge and then still has a little extra juice leftover just in case I find myself in a pinch later on. You can definitely make it a day or 2 without having to charge it again on the charger... Although this will vary depending on your amount of usage. I've charged my phone from about 20% to 100% and still had two lights left of charge in my case.One of the only gripes I have with this case is I can't charge it and my phone at the same time. I haven't yet tried the wireless charging feature it comes with, because I don't have a wireless charger. But, I think a really nice feature would be to give the option of charging through lightning (for the phone) and Micro USB (for the case).Still, this is a very high-quality case and it does exactly what it was designed to do. I'm happy with my purchase and I think most people who buy the BX190 will be pleased with their purchase from Alpatronix as well.
