New Favorite lead
I like to use colored lead for my sketches but the one I had been using for the past couple of years has been getting harder to find. I’ve been looking for a new brand, but have seen bad reviews for most other colored lead I’ve come across. Took a chance with this one and am not disappointed. It is so smooth and buttery. The red is vibrant enough to show well on a page without being obnoxiously bright. It erases surprisingly well for colored lead. Basically about the same as regular lead. Haven’t had any problems with breakage. Or at least not any more than regular lead. I have a heavy hand so some snapped lead is expected. But it’s fairly tough for colored lead. Better than the one I was using before. Really the only negative is that the lead finishes kind of quickly. The quality is so good that I’m not upset about it though.

Good Product!!!
Really good color, yes I was nervous buying hearing about breakage, I mainly use rOtring 600 Full-Metal Body and the extra support on the tip really prevents breakage. In my plastic and cheaper pencils it does break a lot easier, but with a rOtring I haven’t had any issues. Good color as well!

Great experience, tough, and actually red
This lead is fantastic! I have been through about half a container of this lead and have had zero breaks. I'd recommend that the other people here having serious issues with breakage note that in many of the reviews, it is pointed out that switching to a higher quality pencil improved the experience. I've had my cheaper pencils from high school break even Pentel .7 HB pretty easily, but I now use a nice, non-disposable metal pencil and have no problems with any lead, including this. I also write REALLY hard, and have broken HB .7 and even .9 from writing before with plastic pencils, but this holds up just as well as any other I've used. The color is, as others have noted, actually red - which is a difference from many competitors, where the color comes out pinkish. In addition, it erases very well, leaving no more of a remnant than a standard lead. This is extremely useful lead for reviewing documents and annotating them in a non-permanent way, since it stands out from the black text much better than regular pencil lead.

Great quality!
I am not an artist but I bought this for notes taking. I was looking for a red pen that wont bleed when underlining a bible passage. It works well! It wont bleed although its a bit lighter than the actual ink. Also at first they easily broke everytime I write, until I figured out how to handle the pressure of the mech pen and it works fine. I got the .70 see sample notes and underline I made. I recommend this product.

Nice Red Lead for Mechanical Pencils
I normally use red lead pencils for work and home, but they seemed very expensive these days. So, I decided to try a Pilot mechanical pencil with red lead which works just as good. The lead produced dark red lines on white paper, just what I needed. Also, the lead didn't seem to break too often (no more than a regular black lead).

Work great if your boss makes you take inventory with red pencils that need constant sharpening
When we do inventory at work, we have to use red pencil (prismacolor col-erase) and write tiny little numbers on sheets of graph paper because we're antiquated like that. I was tired of constantly having to sharpen my pencil, and luckily, these are a similar enough shade of red nobody's noticed the difference. They seem to wear down faster than normal #2 pencil lead, so I'm going through them fairly fast, but for just coloring softer is probably better anyways. I haven't had any problems with the lead breaking or anything.

No more breakage!
I had used Pentel Red lead 0.9 for years. For some strange reason, Pentel decided to discontinue the 0.9 size, leaving 0.7 as its alternative. The 0.7 lead is very brittle, unless you write very softly, plus cannot erase very easily (if at all). This Uni 0.7 lead is outstanding! Have used it for a few days now (I'm a CPA), and am completely satisfied, as it has not broken once! It is also erasable too! The only negative I have (and it is not really a "negative", it's just a difference) is that it is a little softer than the Pentel lead, which means I go through it faster. But this difference is far outweighed by the strength and durability of the Uni lead.

comes with 60 pieces of high quality lead in total!!!!!
Absolutely great deal. The lead is insanely strong and easy to draw with, and not brittle at all! Way better than the pilot color lead. **update: after a few more days of using it i can say this is probably the best thing i’ve ever bought! it makes drawing much more enjoyable and i love that i can sketch in a red lead then add in final details with the pencil lead!! it’s awesome, and i highly reccomend it to any type of artist! i’m personally a hobbyist, and i use this every day! i added some more pics

I'm a concept artist and I've been using these regularly for my concept sketches. By far the best 0.7mm red leads out there. Make sure you use the Uni mechanical pencil though as they tend to break easily when used with other draftsman's brands such as Staedtler

These are SO GOOD! Previously I was using the Pilot Color Eno red leads and they snapped constantly. After reading the reviews, I thought I would give these ones a go and they did not disappoint (also, crazy good value in comparison to other coloured leads).

se rompen menos que otras marcas y el color se marca muy bien.
