would this work if set up inside but directed outside at night?

You would get reflected glare from the night lights ,which would greatly reduce view and motion sensing is ineffective through glass ,An outdoor camera is far better

I want to install 1 wireless indoor camera. The adverts are unclear if i need a sync module, can any one advise or does this connect direct to wifi ?

Hi, as long as you don't just buy the "Add On" camera the sets should come with the sync module. If bought through Amazon the description clearly states on the add on sync module required in the heading. I have 4 cameras connected on one module. Hope thus helps.

I have a blink system in one home. Can I set this up as a separate system in a second home?

Yes you can as long as both addresses have wi fi and you do known the login details for both of the cameras syterm

I have an existing sync module and cameras and account if i use the Sync module 2 will i have to start paying a subscription for cloud services?

If im understanding this question right, you only need the cloud service if you want/need to back up clips/ pics.. but also think you can use a USB to back your stuff up, so id say No to your question.
