Young's Chip Shop 2 Extra Large Beer Batter Fillets, 300g (Frozen)

Young's fish is always good quality, and these fillets are no exception. They're sold as 'extra large'. Ummm, not exactly what I would call extra large, think small cod from a fish shop, but they are certainly bigger than the normal sized fillers that you get. 1 should be enough for most people. The fish is Alaskan Pollack. Indistinguishable to most people from cod or haddock. As is all Young's fish it's responsiby sourced. It's coated in a beer batter which is very crisp and tasty. It does contain wheat if that is an issue for you. Ingredients wise, there's nothing to frighten the horses. It's 54% fish, with the batter making up the rest. Cook from frozen. They cook in an oven in roughly 25 minutes. I Use one of those little air fryers. They are great for things like oven fish and chips. Overall, these are a very tasty fish with a good crunchy batter. Not that large, but large enough for most. I hope you found this review helpful.

Just had these this evening could have eaten more very nice...

The Fish looked fine on picture, and when taken out of box, but once cooked I did find it rather bland. Quite thick and good size. Batter was fine, but I had to put quite a lot of Vinegar on, or Lemon Juice, to add flavour.

All products ordered were good quality . Separate bags for frozen and chilled. Only disappoint was the steak pie I ordered was not available, even though I didn’t want an alternative they still sent one.
