September 2024 update - BATTERY REPLACEMENT: After 3 1/2 years of infrequent use, the tire pressure display stopped working but the light continued to work. Although advertised as nonreplaceable batteries, you can indeed replace them (note that the slightly longer phillips screw goes in the hole in the case nearer the display). The unit uses 1 CR2032 battery and 3 LR44 batteries. Some reviewers weren't sure which controlled which funtion (light vs pressure display). I initially replaced only the CR2032 battery, and now both functions work again, so that battery must control the pressure display. As others noted, when you open the unit, the on/off button cover will probably fall off. It is round with 2 elongated tabs. I couldn't get the cover to close properly until I installed the tabs PARALLEL to the seam in the cover, not perpendicular to the seam. Original review: It is easy to read and use. There were no instructions to tell you how to switch between PSI and BAR, but you just hit the ON button again to change units of measure. The light and the last reading stay on longer than seem necessary, which might reduce battery life, and the batteries are supposedly not replaceable. Time will tell.

It works great but battery replacement is crazy. No separate battery compartment. To access the batteries you have to take out two screws. Top one is longer. The two halves pop open easily after the screws are removed but watch out. The on/off button will likely fall out of place. Not too hard to put it back. There are 4 batteries. One is a 2032. The other three are 44s I think. No idea which battery(s) need replacing so replaced all 4. It works again but A but if a hassle. Will buy from a competitor next time solely because of the trouble replacing the batteries. BTW battery replacement costs the same or more than the original price of the dang thing.

The "user manual" indicates the internal batteries are NOT serviceable. Remove two small screws and replace the 3 SR44 button batteries if needed. Throwing the unit away just because the batteries have run down strikes me as very "eco-unfriendly"!

Very good product , solid and quiet precise . With almost a weekly use , I had to replace the battery after 2 years .
