Wooden Bagpipes Rosewood Practice Chanter - Natural Finish (Natural)

This instrument arrived quickly. However, I am unable to get sound from it. I have reviewed the practice of using it. I have tried different reeds. The sound that this Chanter makes is the sound of my breath through it. No music tone at all, no music. The mouth-piece screws on and the taper on the mouthpiece bends the reed in such a manner that it is not flat but opens. (I had to use a flashlight to determine this. Once, without the mouthpiece installed, but with the reed in place I placed my mouthover the reed and blew gently. I got a faint tone. For all the usefulness of this item, I may as well hang it on the wall.
