TAMASHII NATIONS Bandai Kong The 8th Wonder of The World King Kong 2005" S.H. MonsterArts Action Figure

This figure arrived 3 days early, and it is simply amazing. The pictures do not do this incredible figure justice. Kong is really an accurate black, and the fur detail is etched in very well. However, the legs can pop off if you bend them too far forward, however this may only be mine. Kong features a swappable hand of him holding Ann. He stands fine on his own, so there is no real reason for the stand. I would not recommend giving this to a child, however. I suppose you could play with it, but I discourage it. Kong is simply not ment for that sort of thing. All in all, I highly do recommend it. This is my first sh monsterarts figure, and it was well worth saving up for it.

Five Stars! This figure is absolutely a phenomenal piece of art work! I recommend buying this guy, he looks just about he does in the movie. I am glad that S.H. Monster Arts did a bit of change on the head because in the movie it looked like he had a big bump on the back of it. Really glad I got this for $60.00 before it turned to $100.00 This figure is more of a $40.00 to $50.00 just how Godzilla 2014, Gamera, Godzilla Junior and some others should be. I believe that this figure is a great buy for fans/customers. Sadly I did try to make him dab and it didn't look nice, the real problem though is the right arm of mine always popped off when I move it in a quick motion, a bit fine with it. If you are thinking of getting it either wait for them to be in stock again or go to eBay. Very happy with this great product!

The head of Kong popped out of the ball joint the first time I tried to change faces and once it is out there is no way to get it back in so I had to super glue it, which compromises some of the range of motion. Would be cooler if it were 15 inches tall instead of under 7.

Wow! There sure seem to be an awful lot of "7 year olds that got this Christmas morning and broke it" reviews for this one? So either there are an awful lot of people giving $60-$70 imported collectors action figures to 7 year olds, or there is likely some review related monkey business happening. You can decide for yourselves on that one. Now for those that missed the memo, no neither this, nor any of the Bandai SH Figuarts or SH Monsterarts figures are intended for small children. They are adult targeted collectables. Consider their age range 13+ at a minimum. I don't care how extra special little junior is. Now on to the actual figure. Honestly it is a nice, but somewhat flawed SHMA offering. The sculpt of kong is great. Especially the faces. Although I wish they didn't include the wounds as it makes the figure harder to adapt for display and photography. It has a great selection of hands. A Fay Wray figure clutched in one. And... A stick? (No idea on the stick?) the other accessories is a stand. A Bandai Tamashi Nations Stage 5 style one. While a nice stand, it is NOT a good or useful fit for Kong. It comes with the U shaped action figure waist clamps. But Kong is too short thick and heavy of a figure for them to hold well. This is compounded by the fact that unlike most other non flying SHMA figures, Kong stands very poorly on his own, at least on 2 legs. You pretty much need to either use one arm for knuckle support or try and make the stand work to get a more dynamic action pose. Not great. Articulation is a mixed bag. Some joints have great range, but other points are annoyingly limited. The head in particular has almost no side to side turning. This is rather inexcusable in a figure from this line. Especially one of a gorilla. Overall it's a really nice display piece. But it just lacks something that others in the line don't. Some level of energy and dynamism gets drained off because of the poor stand and the very need for it. I would heartily recomend the Rebirth 1995 Godzilla or the Gamera or Gigan figures long before this one. (Please note none of the above are appropriate for 7 year olds. Only a complete moron would give any of them to one. )

This is the best Kong available and the most true to Peter Jacksons King Kong. This is roughly the same size as many of the other sh monster arts figures about 7". This is not meant to be an 'action figure'. You can display it, set it up to recreate scenes, etc.. He will not do well flying across the room or jumping down the stairs. Just about everything is a ball joint, so its not unexpected that after a little rough play Kong begins to fall apart. He does easily pop back together, not sure if that would continually be the case over time. I really would not get this for any under 12. As for some that claim the scale is off compared to Godzilla etc.. King Kong not meant to be part of the Godzilla line. If he was, Kong would be about up to Godzilla's knee. Now who would want to buy a 2" King Kong?

Very Poor product, You cant fix up the product. Each part gets segregated and cant stay stick for few minutes also. Children cant play with same, absolutely a disaster and not worth ordering..

Outstanding figure, pricey, but outstanding. So articulated, you can get some really great poses out of him, and the included accessories make it even better, especially the hand with the little Anne Darrow figure in. Recommended to any Kong fan, or even just someone who likes gorillas like my self.
