The Porsche Macan has been a top seller from Stuttgart since its launch. The v6 2.9L variant however has 'suffered' from an electronic throttle response lag (apart from the latest Gen 3 GTS in '22). The Pedal Commander is designed to reduce this lag and on the Macan Turbo this is certainly the case, within reason. Sport and Sport+ modes on the car don't really warrant the PC - the engine mapping, turbo spooling etc are suitably enhanced to deliver all the drama you need. In comfort mode things are very much more laid back and designed for economy fuel consumption. This is where the PC comes into its own. Pickup from a standing start is improved significantly whilst on the move response though not as noticeable as the first gear lift off does get a nice boost. The City +2 or +3 work very well on the PC settings and in reality you probably don't need the Sport and Sport Plus setting on the PC - just switch the mode of the car instead. If you want a driving experience in comfort mode where the throttle responds as you'd expect from this sports SUV then the PC is a must have. Note installation/removal on right hand drive cars is 10 mins (compared to LHD which is fiddly as seen online). Top tip - use some blu tack on the end of the torx 30 bit to hold the bolt removing/connecting the accelerator pedal and you can do it all by just kneeling outside the open driver's door and peering under the dash.

The Pedal Commander is a welcome addition to the Porsche Macan, a car with the beef to really get up to speed, crippled by a sad electronic throttle with a noticeable lag. The PC gets added to your throttle pedal assembly and essentially acts like a mini piggyback tune. It alters the car's response time to the electronic throttle input, and the delay (especially from a stop) is noticeably improved. This is the mod that makes the car really 'get up and go,' especially in traffic scenarios like needing to pull into oncoming traffic during unprotected turns, lane changes, defensive driving, etc. I can't imagine anyone using the Sport+ mode, even on a base Macan, but City and Sport (+2 on either) allow for a really fun time. Paired with something like the JB4 you can essentially get a base Macan to feel like an S without truly flashing your ECU or voiding your manufacturer's warranty. Installation was a breeze, the hardest thing is getting into a position in the footwell that allows you to see the recessed screw you must loosen to drop the gas pedal. Use the notches on the back of the pedal assembly to guide your way back up when re-installing the pedal and you'll have a much easier time lining up the screw holes. I saw a lot of people struggle with this in installation vids and it's easily avoidable if you take a look at the back of the pedal assembly and understand how the tabs will line up.

Beaucoup plus de sensations !! La réponse a l’accélérateur est divisée par je ne sais combien, j’ai été surpris la première fois en mode sport plus ! Un seul mot ! INCROYABLE !!

Fantastic! As other reviewers have said, the Pedal Commander is a must have! The mushy throttle feel on my 2020 Macan Gts is gone! Install took about 5 mins and the app linked to my pedal commander immediately. The car feels so much livelier now and I’m extremely happy with this purchase.
