Great starters- and then some
My wife and I love the outdoors, but winter around here is cold, and snowy (we measure the snow in feet not inches). I'm a cross country skier but my wife- not so much. We decided to give these shoes a try for her and we are both pretty impressed! They are a challange to get fitted at first (HINT!!!! do it inside first- much easier to get the proper adjustment in the warm house!)but once set they held the size very well (ZERO need for re-adjustment after a full season). We used these on several hikes around our yard and into the adjoining hay field. Level terrain is a breeze in these. We then took them out to our property off a seasonal highway (closed in the winter). The land is somewhat hilly and can be downright steep in places. These shoes came thru again. No problems with slipping at all (we were in about 18" of fresh powder). We hiked around for several hours before the sun started setting and it started to get VERY cold. All in all these shoes worked great, and we would not hesitate to take them on longer hikes in nearly any type of terrian. (we also got a pair of the 25" and they performed as well- but needed a slight modification to the front binding)

Great Value for Money
I bought them a couple of weeks ago through Amazon and got them just before my trip to Flagstaff where I used them extensively for 3 consecutive days of snow walking. I could walk on trails where the folks without snow shoes couldn't go. Not only these are great to walk on snow but also very useful to walk on ice thanks to the metal grips. overall great gears, especially considering they cost me less than $50, including the shipping. I have been snow walking with other people using much more expensive gears and there is nothing I couldn't do they could and I walked as fast as they did. I would definitely recommend them, especially if one is using them occasionally.

Great for moderate trails
I'm 125lbs and wear a women's size 8 shoe and these work great for me. I'm no snowshoeing expert but they work fabulously on easy to moderate difficulty trails. No slipping and I can keep up with friends in rentals just fine. Maybe you should get a better snowshoe for more money if you're really intense but these are perfect for all the popular trails in northwest Washington state. I've used them 4-5 times and saved a bunch of money and time from dealing with rentals.

I purchased 21" Alps snowshoes for my wife. On the plus side, the shoes are light weight. On the other side of the coin, the strap that fits over the instep is too short and can't be connected if you wear a boot with a thick sole. The instep strap should be a couple of inches longer. No complaints about the toe strap and heel strap. The heel of your boot rests on a serrated pad. Time will tell if the serrated pad chews up the heel of the boots. Despite these flaws, the snow shoes are functional.

Stay clear of these snowshoes! Flimsy Plastic Build!!
We purchased these snowshoes for Christmas, and three short treks later both pairs were cracking and unuseable. They are constructed with a hard, thin plastic that is incredibly brittle in the snow. Simply body weight on top of snow caused large cracks beneath the heels that made the main plastic body snap - in the same place on both pairs. Also, they make a loud and obnoxious thumping sound when using them. When trying to return them, the manufacturer did not accept their own one year warranty on damage. If you look at most of the positive reviews, they are from years ago. They must have swapped their previous construction out for this cheap and flimsy design.

great product for price
i have purchased two other pairs of these snow shoes and we love them. my older daughters use them about 5 times a year and have had them for 5 or 6 years now and they are great product for the price. not sure they would last for the extremest but great for recreational use. The racket bindings are great, easy to get in and out of. Highly recommend these for the price

These snowshoes do the job. I bought the smallest size but the center strap is too small. Barely fits over the thickest part of my boots. Front strap is too long, keeps falling forward off my boot. Makes snowhoes flap a little when I walk. Overall for price they get the job done. They make it easier to go for walks.

bindings broke after a fall
Used these maybe 5 or 6 times and on the last time out my wife tripped and fell forward breaking the binding on one of them. Not very well made at all for this to happen. Wouldn't buy again.
