Q: Where does the programmed setting reside? In the cloud? What happens if there is a power outage? Is there a capacitor that keeps the settings?

This page has 4 products sold with the same set of questions. I wonder if the other answer is for a different product. The WiOn 50055 Indoor Wi-Fi Wall Tap does keep it's schedule locally. It retains it after power off. I did not leave it unplugged over night, but I pulled it from the wall and then plugged it into another room. It still has it's schedule and runs it fine.However ... if it is ON when the power goes off. It does NOT turn back on when the power comes back on. It has to wait for the next ON scheduled timer to trigger.

Q: If electricity is still on, but wifi network goes down, do the devices stay on or off and still follow their schedule?

If Wifi is down, device will not be able to follow a schedule. However, the device will remain in the state (On or Off) it was in at the time Wifi went down as longs as there is electricity.

Q: Can the timer be set to come on at sunset and then off at a specific time, say off at 11:00 pm?

Yes, I have that exact scenario, you just have to create 2 schedules for the same timer, 1 astronomical to come on at sunset and off at sunrise, then create a 2nd schedule to come on at 9pm and off at 11pm. The result will be the light comes on at sunset, it will already be on when it gets the 9pm call, it will go off at 11pm per the schedule then it will stay off until the next sunset.

Q: Connect to Mesh Network?

Yes they work well on a Mesh Network. When I installed the Mesh Network I already had WiOn devices installed ( on my regular WiFi )... I used the same WiFi settings on the Mesh Network and the WiOn Adapters worked on the Mesh with no configuration changes. The WiOn's work better now because some of them were way out in the yard and in the garage where WiFi was weak. Now with the Mesh Network they get a stronger signal.
