After spending time in Mumbai eating street food I wanted to 'try' and recreate my favourite pav bhaji at home. This masala did not disappoint. With some practice and this excellent product I'll get somewhere close....eventually.

Authentic taste and easy to do.

The first time I used the meat masala I didn’t think it added much to the dish but having used it several more times I now love it. Practice makes perfect I guess. I’m a huge fan of any spice so this suits me to the ground. I add it to all meat dishes and curries yum yum. I would definitely recommend you try it.

Not too spicy but I’d recommend you add a tbsp or so only before you add more

Good packaging and easy to use

Checked ingredients on Amazon to make sure no salt. All good. Upon receiving the item it clearly states "iodised salt" in the ingredients and it is quite prominent in the mix, which means you cannot use much in cooking as it will be too salty. I do not like pre added salt in my garam as I like to flavour some dishes intensely with spices, so this is very disappointing. Because you have to use less due to the salt content, the garam turns out to be mild and not as warming. This version also has a dominant star anise note.....I think it is too dominant personally, as it overpowers the other spices. I admit, I prefer MDH brand which definitely has no added salt and I will go back to it. A shame, I am sure this brand is well-renowned, but I wish they had a salt free version. 3/5.
