Joe Abercrombie First Law Series 3 Books Collection Set (The Blade Itself, Before They Are Hanged, Last Argument Of Kings)

These are a great read. I wanted some fun Fantasy that I would enjoy and not get bogged down in complicated world-building or trying to follow too many characters and this trilogy was just what I had hoped for. So much of the story has brilliant pay-offs and really satisfying moments. Joe A. hits a super balance here for fantasy - a bit of satisfying action, adult but not too adult - some grit but plenty of fun and even a bit of humour here and there. The writing flows and does a great job of painting everything for you.

Fantastic series. Abercrombie has a talent of creating very realistic characters in his books and this series is a prime example of that. Worldbuilding and story are in the forefront. Characters are what make these series a must read to any fantasy fan. A bit dark, but not over the top or focusing on these elements. I’d suggest this series to anyone who loves well crafted characters. Some of them are definitely among my all time favourites!

The books arrived in perfect condition nicely wrapped together, The books themselves have a beautiful high quality feel and texture to the front and back covers and even the spines have a premium look to them that will stand out on any shelving. I'm yet to start reading but if the effort that went into the production was to match the words within I'm in for a treat.

Really enjoyed reading this trilogy. Was sorry to finish but all good things…..Superbly crafted story and characters.

I loved reading these novels. What a great writer. Hooked me from first page and didn’t want to finish the series. Well researched and a great way to learn some history.
