My boy
Ahhhh I love it so much! I love animals and always like the electronic toys as a kid, but they weren't really useful, just kinda there and noisy. This fellow, I love. I'm 33 and autistic, I work from home, and been trying to find distractions to help me quit v@p ing. This little guy is perfect for that and getting me through stressful work days. When he's turned on/woken up his heart beats very fast and he makes little uncertain sounds. You pet him until the sounds turn to happy chirps then it starts to purr. After a minute or so of inactivity it snoozes off and goes quiet/still. Two modes of volume and vibration, soft and strong, though both are rather quiet. Very good for not overstimulating you with a bunch of loud noises. It's soft, cute, a great size and weight, well made. I really like the addition of the plastic beans in the feet and tummy for extra sensory feels.

I AM IN LOVE! Every child needs this
One of the best set of tools I learned while working with children was Social Emotional Learning (SEL). Yale uses a system called RULER that, in short, helps recognize emotions, learn vocabulary to describe feelings, and gives children, teachers, educators, and parents the tools to help regulate emotions with all sorts of strategies (I recommend it to anyone and everyone). Although I only just discovered Purrble on Amazon the other day, I bought this under the guise of a being present for my husband because I knew that he'd understand how this little animal would be an asset for me and my anxiety. I retired from the field of education when I was 30 after requiring medical leave for anorexia and during treatment, I was diagnosed with PTSD. I was already being treated for anxiety, but everything I subsequently learned about my trauma-related triggers has helped me to identify situations that could potentially trigger panic or anxiety. Learning about ASD has also helped me observe my physical reactions and emotions in a way that my husband and I can come up with game plans for social situations and every day situations that tend to throw me off, emotionally, such as unexpected changes to my daily schedule. I lost my Emotional Support rabbit a year ago, after almost 12 years, which has been very challenging. This evening, I was feeling very heightened anxiety and decided to unbox our Purrble. I was so relieved to read that the batteries are already installed, so I'd be able to interact with it straightaway. I don't like to read instructions, but rather figure things out intuitively, but I glanced at how to turn it on. It's absolutely precious! This little creature is nothing like my Furbie- this is so soft and the design is genius. I watched the video and placed my order while watching it. I've already soothed it and soothed myself at the same time! I honestly think this is the best invention and best toy not only for neurodivergent people, but I think every family would benefit from a Purrble.

Love love love!
Honestly, I can’t say enough good things about this product. I wanted to share this because it may be helpful to some of our clients/their kiddos! We bought one for our 5-year-old for Christmas and she has used it during meltdowns and sleeps with “Peppermint” every night. Then, our 1.5 year old became very attached to it and we bought one for him too. He takes “Buster” everywhere and sleeps with him every night. When he’s upset, he asks for Buster. It’s a really great tool for the kiddos and it’s proven to be so helpful during stressful times for them. I also love that they each have their own unique fur so we can tell the two apart by their unique spots 💛 super soft, super cute, and definitely worth the money.

Very cute. Wiorth the price. Very calming, even for adults.
I bought this product for myself. I am very anxious when in new situations. This guy is small enough that I can pull him out and pet him until his heartbeat calms down and he begins to purr. It calms me down too. My one complaint about this little guy is that The advertisement says that it is weighted. It doesn’t have enough weight for me to consider it waited. I’m not saying it has to weigh 10 pounds or something. That is unrealistic for the product size. It just doesn’t provide the amount of pressure that I was expecting from the freezing. Otherwise, it’s a great product and it isn’t Obtrusive.

It grows on you
So I have a very sensory seeking 4 year old girl and we’ve been working very hard on learning how to calm down when she is angry and having a tantrum. Trust me I’ve tried everything. Usually things work at first and then it just makes her more angry after she’s used to it. I really didn’t want to drop $60 on a stuffed animal, and I assumed it wouldn’t work but, was willing to try anything. So, initially, I was pretty disappointed because I could barely hear it. I expected it to be way louder and it’s so quiet, you have to put it up to your ear to hear it. Also my daughter seemed uninterested, she got tired of waiting for it to start purring and would give up. I was on the verge of returning the thing and…I’m so glad I didn’t. We’ve had it a month and suddenly, it’s like a miracle. My daughter has become so attached to this thing. She is regularly concerned about whether her little buddy is upset and needs to make sure he is calm and I never even have to suggest it. I’m telling you, this little guy has now become synonymous with calming down. If she ever raises her voice or if anyone else raises there voice, she runs to get him to see if he’s upset. And it seriously works, she starts calming him and asking me to help calm him. I’ve also realized that the quietness is intentional. You really have to slow down and listen closely and hug it close to you to hear it and that’s part of what helps to calm m my daughter. So I’m actually glad it’s quiet. Glad I took the risk and purchased. My advice is just give it a chance for a month or so, it grows on you.

Just what my anxious son needed!
I can't thank you enough for this lovely toy. My 10 yo gets anxious at night (and other times as well). He has really calmed down and taken to this little Purrble! He truly treats it like a pet. Kudos to whomever came up with this idea. I also wanted to nod my head and the tender and loving welcome letter that came with Purby. Adorable!

Good idea, meh execution
I really liked the idea of this toy, but when I got it, I was disappointed. I got it half off and still am considering returning it. If I'd paid the full $60, I'd be pretty ticked lol. For one, it's just too small. It can basically fit in one adult hand, so it's not a good size for holding and snuggling. Their marketing says adults may also use this device, but it simply wasn't enough sensory input to enjoy all the time. The nose is a heart, so that was really cute. They have little beads in the feet, which is cool, but again, SO SMALL. The noises it makes are legitimately endearing, but I wish there was a volume toggle like there is for vibration. I get why it's nice for them to be quiet in some situations, but when there's any other noise in my environment, I can hardly hear them unless I'm literally holding it to my ear. For me, the fact that it gets re-stressed when you move it is a little counterproductive. If I'm in the middle of anxiety or panic, I want this thing to calm down and stay calm. I think for some people or in certain situations, it would interrupt the therapeutic effect. On the other hand, it's nice when you haven't used it in a while and pick it up that you immediately get to start the process. Maybe if there were a built in timer that once you soothe it, it stays calm for 20 mins or something. It frustrated me that the manual tells you basically nothing but how to change batteries. However, the packaging is adorable! Overall, I just don't think this product is where it needs to be yet to charge $60 or deliver the effects they say it will, at least for adults. I think they either need to yank the adult-friendly marketing or make one big enough for adults. If this were like twice as big, I think I'd be in love with it! With some changes, it has a lot of potential.
